Toughill Next Likely Challenger For “Cyborg” Santos’ Strikeforce Women’s Title

Erin Toughill, at 5′11′ and 175 pounds, could well be next in line for a shot at the Strikeforce women’s 145-pound title currently held by Brazilian phenom Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos.
I know what you’re thinking, ‘What, she’s going to cut from 170 to 145? Give me a break.’
Santos completely dominated Gina Carano and Marloes Coenen in her last two fights, and she did it with pure, unadulterated power. Toughill thinks her size is what will finally give Santos something to think about and adds that she thinks Santos has managed to avoid taking any serious hits in her fights to date.
Toughill wants a warmup fight with Strikeforce in April or May and then hopes to get her shot at Santos this fall.
“I’ve been training a long time. I still have things to work on,” Toughill
said. “I definitely give these guys a run for their money. I hit very hard. Ray Sefo is one of my coaches and he says ‘Oh my god, you hit harder than 80 percent of the guys in here.’”

Toughill said that although it will be difficult to cut that much weight, she can make it happen without losing her power. (liever niet, ziet er heerlijk uit zo):thup:
