Former UFC heavyweight champion, Kevin Randleman appears to be the man who will oppose Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu master, Roger Gracie in his Strikeforce debut, set to happen on May 15th in St. Louis, Missouri.
Sources close to the situation revealed the news to MMAJunkie.com (http://mmajunkie.com/news/18262/roger-gracie-slated-for-may-15-strikeforce-event-could-meet-kevin-randleman.mma?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+mmajunkie+%28MMAjunkie.com+Fe ed%29), saying Randleman is the man leading the wish list of the promotion and that an approach has already been made. Former UFC and PRIDE fighter, Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou appears to be the back-up.
Roger Gracie has won both his MMA fights to date, defeating Ron Waterman via first round submission back in 2006. This was followed up by another first round finish in 2008 against Yuki Kondo.
Randleman is on a two fight slide having lost to both Mike Whitehead and Stanislav Nedkov via decision. Meanwhile Sokoudjou finds himself in a similar position having lost to Strikeforce 205 pound champion, Gegard Mousasi and Ikuhisa Minowa.
