NK Grappling Ede – 13 maart 2010

Mixfight wist gisteren al te melden dat Amir Sadollah deel zou nemen aan de 1e wedstrijddag van het NK grappling te Ede. Bijna dreigde er nog even een kink in de kabel te komen vanwege het grote aantal deelnemers in Ede, maar vandaag was er dan toch ruimte gevonden om deelname mogelijk te maken. Gelukkig maar; toch erg leuk om een TUF winnaar in actie te zien komen.
Het was bijzonder druk in Ede. Er waren maar liefst 8 matten waar op gevochten werd. Het lijkt er op dat de jaarlijks terugkerende competitie in Ede steeds beter bezocht wordt. En terecht overigens. Met zo’n mooi toernooi zet Ede zich in mijn ogen neer als grappling hoofdstad van Nederland. Probleem waar de organisatie nu tegen aan dreigt te lopen is dat ze door de enorme populariteit qua accommodatie uit hun jasje dreigen te groeien.
Omdat Amir Sadollah deel nam aan de -91 kg klasse voor gevorderden is deze poule vandaag in het bijzonder gevolgd. Helaas was deze klasse ingedeeld op één van de beide matten op zolder, onder een paar tl-balken. Voor de vechters waarschijnlijk niet zo’n probleem maar vanuit fotografisch oogpunt gezien een flinke opgave. Afijn, het mocht de pret niet drukken.
Amir Sodallah werd uiteindelijk 2e, waar Hracho Darpinyan met de winst naar huis ging. Sodallah en Darpinyan kwamen 2 keer tegen elkaar uit. De eerste keer in de poule won Darpinyan op punten. De tweede keer in de finale won Darpinyan op submission. Twee mooie partijen overigens met een terechte winnaar.

Het waren ook bepaald geen ideale omstandigheden hé :D . Zet er anders ook gewoon een paar pics bij. Altijd leuk om ook andere foto's te zien.

Het was een topdag, en zeg nu eerlijk, 6 keer kunnen vechten bij de dames dat is toch heerlijk. Jammer genoeg wel een uitzondering op de meeste wedstrijden.
