Dutch Fighters Take Center Stage at the WCK MuayThai in Primm, Nevada on April 17th, 2010

Menno Dijksta, Petra Janssen van Doorn and Ismael Londt will be representing Holland in the USA-based World Championship MuayThai on April, 17 2010 in Primm, Nevada. The three MuayThai bouts featuring Dutch fighters have already become the most anticipated matches at the WCK MuayThai; the Dutch way of MuayThai fighting being only one reason for the anticipation, the fighters’ backgrounds and pro records count for the rest.

Menno, with a record of 32 wins, 16 by means of knockout and 4 losses is the latest protégé of Thom Harnick, Chakuriki Pankration owner and a legendary MuayThai and kickboxing trainer. Mulkey just coming off a 1st round KO of the highly touted Bryce Krause, now has more confidence than ever and his reach and height could prove to his advantage. Mulkey has fought only top class fighters here in the USA and is fighting in his hometown. Dijkstra comes to America in hopes of challenging WBC International champion Malaipet if successful against Mulkey. Dijkstra who throws every punch, kick, knee and elbow combination and is considered a non-stop fighter is favorite to win, according to the Lucky’s Race and Sports Book in Las Vegas.

Petra Janssen van Doorn, who is just coming off of a victory in Sweden, will battle a tough Christine Toledo of Las Vegas for a WBC International Women’s Flyweight Championship belt. Toledo has fought top contenders in her weight division in her extensive career, and is currently ranked number one by WIKBA. Toledo is regarded as a technical fighter who is able to execute her fights with strategy behind her game. Petra Janssen van Doorn is considered a more aggressive fighter, her pro records is 13 wins, three by way of knockout, and five losses. She is the WMS International champion, and WPMF World Title holder. Both fighters are prepared to leave everything on the ring, as the match for the WBC International title becomes the most important fight of their careers.

The winner of Ismael Londt vs. Kevin Shane Brooks bout will have a chance at the most coveted WBC World Title when he takes on the current heavyweight WBC world champion, Shane Del Rosario of USA. This opportunity might easily make Londt vs Brooks the fight of the night! With a Dutch school of fighting behind him, Londt has all the indications of the next great European heavyweight. He has an impeccable record of 11 wins, six by way of knockout and one losses. His almost perfect record will be tested by Kevin Brooks of Atlanta, Georgia, who is the 2006 World Shotokan champion and who has taken out all challengers in the East Coast and now is looking for both national and international recognition which a win over Londt would bring.
