Tim Kennedy will face Trevor Prangley in a middleweight bout at Strikeforce "Los Angeles" on June 16 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, the promotion announced on Wednesday.

A previously announced heavyweight bout between former WWE star Bobby Lashley and Ron Sparks has been scratched from the night's roster due to a knee injury Lashley incurred in training, said the promotion.

Kennedy has back-to-back victories in the promotion against previously undefeated Zak Cummings and former Bodog Fight champion Nick Thompson. A United States Army Special Forces veteran, the 30-year-old Kennedy's two career losses came to Jason "Mayhem" Miller and Scott Smith, both currently in the Strikeforce stable.

Prangley, a South African Olympic wrestling qualifier, drew with Karl Amoussou at Strikeforce Challengers 6 last February, after the French fighter was unintentionally thumbed in the eye and could not continue. The 37-year-old father of two had amassed five straight wins prior to that.

In the evening's main event, Iowan striker Robbie Lawler meets Gracie jiu-jitsu black belt Renato "Babalu" Sobral in a 195-pound catch-weight bout.

Strikeforce "Los Angeles" will air live on Showtime.

Ergens wel jammer. Had Lashley wel in actie willen zien.

Lees opeens de naam van Karl Ammoussou. Weet iemand hoe het hem vergaat. Wanneer hij weer moet vechten.
