According to a report by pennyjomma.com (http://www.pennyjomma.com/), Diego Sanchez (http://www.google.ca/search?q=diego+cagepotato&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a) will remain at welterweight and will square off against dangerous Brazilian Paulo Thiago (http://www.google.ca/search?q=paulo+thiago+cagepotato&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a) at UFC 121 October 23 in Anaheim, California.
Sanchez confirmed the fight with the website via text message:

"Lol it's top secret jk !!! all you girls need to know is I'm fighting Paulo thiago oct 23 at 121. I am giving everything I have in the training camp this time around, I will show my fans and ufc that that last fight I was only performing at 70 % with no one to blame but myself. I have found my focus again I am excpecting [sic] a war. Luv you two awesome fans!"

Both men will be looking to rebound from recent losses.
Having dropped his last two bouts to BJ Penn (http://wiki.cagepotato.com/index.php/BJ_Penn) at UFC 107 and John Hathaway at UFC 114, another loss for Sanchez could potentially send him to the chopping block, making him the first The Ultimate Fighter winner (besides The Comeback season winner Travis Lutter) to be dropped by the promotion.
Whether or not it has any impact on the fight, it's worth noting that Diego recently parted ways with trainers Saulo and Xande Ribeiro and moved back to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he trains at Albuquerque Kickboxing (http://www.abqkickboxing.com/instructors.html) and not with his former team at Jackson's MMA.

Although Thiago's future with the promotion isn't likely at risk considering he has only lost two of his five fights inside the Octagon and he stopped both Mike Swick and Josh Koscheck, he will be hungry to redeem himself for a lackluster performance against Martin Kampmann (http://www.google.ca/url?q=http://www.cagepotato.com/martin-kampmann-wont-fight-tj-grant-wants-someone-better&sa=X&ei=7ThHTNOeFpGlnQeIqeDKBA&ved=0CBYQzgQoADAA&usg=AFQjCNFLKILLBjdzhHuBrVWxqHcTxKVSzQ) in his last fight at UFC 115.
The event will be headlined by a heavyweight championship bout between Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez and will also feature the UFC debut of former Strikeforce middleweight champ Jake Shields, who will take on Kampmann (http://www.cagepotato.com/soon-ufc-actually-gets-around-signing-jake-shields-kampmann-could-be-first-opponent-report-says).

Erg goeie matchup. Paulo Thiago wordt meer en meer een echte badass.. Denk dat dit zijn grootste test wordt tot nu toe. (Kosscheck was ook een goeie test en daar kwam ie eigenlijk te kort tegen... tot aan de KO op het einde offcourse)
