Siyar Bahadurzada eager for Strikeforce debut

http://mmajunkie.com/dyn/images/fighters/siyar-bahadurzada.jpg

Bahadurzada, who earlier this month defended his belt with a first-round knockout of Carlos Alexandre Pereira at Shooto Brazil 17, vies for a $150,000 prize in a welterweight tournament at the upcoming United Glory 2010 event.

But if Strikeforce asks him to cross the pond beforehand, he's going.

Leuk stukje! dankje

Lawal, for one, thinks Bahadurzada is the one who's going to give opponents trouble when he fights in the Strikeforce cage.

"I think he's a great fighter with a lot of power," Lawal told MMAjunkie.com. "He looks like (Dutch-Turkish kickboxer) Gokhan Saki. He will be a wrecking somebody in his debut"

Siyar Bahadurzada Talks About Being Afghan, Muslim in MMA After 9/11

Strikeforce signee and current Shooto 183-pound world champion Siyar Bahadurzada has a new blog (http://siyarmma.com/index.php/blog), the first entry on which is an impassioned post discussing the effects of September 11, 2001, on Bahadurzada himself as well as other Afghan and Muslim people.

****The issue that bothers me, an Afghan MMA fighter, the most is that Osama Bin Laden, this Arab moron (meaning he is not an Afghan and Afghans are NOT Arabs) spread so much hate between people that this costs people's lives still today; the innocent Afghans, as well as the heroic soldiers who fight terrorism! Osama Bin Laden has made it hard for every Muslim to speak openly about their religion and say proudly which religion they are practicing. It's even hard for Muslims to get a job and most people feel terrible about their (islamic) names since this terrible day... You know why?!

Yes, exactly... Osama bin Laden messed it up for the entire world and especially for the Muslims and Afghans!

Now I would like to tell you guys how it effects me personally. I am an MMA fighter with a vision! I do not use the word dream, because dreams do not come true most of the time and what I have in my mind... I will make it happen, or I will die trying! That's why I call it a vision! I will keep fighting for the name of my country. I know it will irritate most people because of what happened on September the 11th, but if you really think clearly, turning off your emotions for a second and switch to logical thinking, then there is nothing bad that Afghans or Afghanistan has done! Afghanistan happened to be the unfortunate country where Osama Bin Laden saw as a potential place to hide. And the people who were running Afghanistan at that moment did not see this coming... How could they? They were Taliban and they had an IQ of a goldfish!

So there I am fighting for my country and people worrying how my career will go in the USA when I will be fighting for Strikeforce and eventually later in the UFC, since Americans and Afghans do not "like" eachother that much. This is the last thing I worry about to be honest. Because I know that every brite, educated and intellectual American knows the facts about September the 11th and will not hate me for being a patriot Afghan. Patriotism is something that exists inside of every original person who do not forget his roots and it is a fact that most Americans are patriotic as well... So at least those people who will hate me, as a patriotic Afghan, should also love me because of being a patriotic Afghan! Just for the reason that we share the same feelings for our countries and we are willing to die for our countries! But we should never hate an entire nation because of an Arab prick!****

zijn er al dingen concreet?
