Nelson sidelined by knee surgery, calls out 'Big Nog'

Roy Nelson's a tough dude but even he can't fight on an injured knee. "Big Country" suffered the knee injury during his fight with Junior Dos Santos at UFC 117. In a slugfest, Nelson was outhit 130-38 and only attempted four takedowns. Part of his issue was the injury to his knee that he thinks he suffered in the first round. Monday morning Nelson threw on his favorite moo-moo and got the knee repaired.
On Sunday, he mentioned the injury to Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. A recurring hip issue has forced, "Big Nog" to pull out of his fight next month against Frank Mir at UFC 119. Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic is reportedly the fill-in.

Where is the new-found passion for a fight against Nogueira coming from? Apparantly, there was a little dust-up behind the scenes at UFC 117 between Blackhouse MMA and Team Nelson. One of the team's banners went missing and all hell broke loose. Those crazy kids!
