This might have been my favorite mixed martial arts finish of 2010.
Thursday night at Bellator 33, former U.S. Olympic judo team member Rick Hawn (http://www.mmafighting.com/tag/Rick+Hawn/) used an absolutely brilliant judo throw to put opponent LeVon Maynard on his back and finish him off with punches, in a textbook illustration of how judo techniques can work in MMA.
The throw is known as a seoi nage (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seoi_nage), and if you're going to fight Rick Hawn, you'd be wise to be aware of it.
And as Bellator's third season winds down, if you're an MMA fan you'd be wise to take a look at what they've been offering. Although their Fox Sports Net TV deal sometimes makes it hard or impossible to watch their fights live, they're consistently putting on good fights.
If you haven't been watching Bellator this season, check out their YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/BellatorMMA). Bellator puts more fight highlights online than any other MMA promotion, including stuff like Hawn's judo throw that can't be missed.
