The official fighter purses for those who competed at UFC 121 (http://www.sbnation.com/mma/fight-card/62029/ufc-121-lesnar-vs-velasquez): "Lesnar vs. Velasquez" this past Saturday night (Oct. 23) from the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., were released earlier today by the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC).
Main event participants, former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar (http://www.sbnation.com/mma/fighter/122494/brock-lesnar) ($400,000) and newly crowned division champion Cain Velasquez (http://www.sbnation.com/mma/fighter/122504/cain-velasquez) ($200,000), accounted for nearly half of the $1.5 million disclosed payroll.
Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz (http://www.sbnation.com/mma/fighter/122519/tito-ortiz) came in second to Lesnar, earning $250,000 in defeat to former Ultimate Fighter (TUF) student Matt Hamill (http://www.sbnation.com/mma/fighter/122512/matt-hamill) ($58,000).
