Management team Golden Glory ends 2010 with a Christmas photoshoot in a church in the Netherlands. The past year has been successful for members of the elite team with world titles throughout the year.
Alistair Overeem defended his Strikeforce heavyweight title in St. Louis, USA for the second time in a row. He also became the new K-1 Grand Prix champion. Setting a new standard for the martial arts by collecting two world titles in two different sports within one year. An unique and legendary accomplishment.
It was Marloes Coenen who became the new 135lbs world champion for the same Strikeforce organization in San Jose, USA. For Siyar Bahadurzada 2010 was the year he defended in Brasil his Shooto light heavyweight title successfully for the second time.
December was a fruitful month for the elite team. Besides Alistair Overeem also teammates Gökhan Saki and four time K-1 champion Sem Schilt took part in the finals of the K-1 Grand Prixfinale in Tokyo, Japan. Saki and Schilt share a third place in the world championship. It was the month in which Filip Verlinden was crowned as the new IFMA worldchampion in Bangkok, Thailand.
Team Golden Glory can look back on a very successful 2010!
