Last July, Sengoku executives gathered in some hidden location, rubbed their hands together in a dimly light boardroom and came to the conclusion that the company will run Japanese MMA by slowly waiting for DREAM to self-destruct (http://middleeasy.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2633). They were going to harness the power of entropy to rule the world of MMA. That's incredibly deep and massive props to the person that convinced a room full of executives that entropy was the most logical option to expand a budding organization. Now just minutes ago on Sengoku's official website (http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http://src-official.com/pc/topics/20110311_448.php&prev=_t&rurl=translate.google.com&usg=ALkJrhgW2KTxzNtl2SPHKOVRpvD0ynvBGg), the company released a report called 'Future activities of the emergency' which details how SRC lost their main sponsor, Don Quixote, and are now making plans to completely shut down. Here's a rough translation of the report.

SRC Report: Future activities of the emergency;
Emergency previous report (released February 1, 2011) As we know the history behind it, but we now are critical crossroads, we face a tough decision. Then, Don Quixote, who is also the parent company of our sponsor (the company below) from, SRC has been made official representations to the effect that withdrawing from the business.
It has also led to this, we express the truth intentionally, and if the company [million years despite large deficits, but only in a dream has continued to support and love of martial arts, but the thought Naka Naka Not only convey, ranging to be dragged into such a situation and some mindless media article on the contrary, is disgusted Hotohoto] you really like.
The company most, rather than a full withdrawal from the actual martial arts community, Pancrase and Shooto activities sponsored organizations that support current and amateur wrestling or are planning to continue, even and other groups, "If tapped Future (help) and not willing to consider, "I said. But we organized, SRC from big businesses such as Sengoku decision to pull out of the company is refusing to be changed.
Indeed shameful that the inside will pour out, as we have been doing business entirely dependent on sponsors and parent support is not without its own box office on its own can be terminated if it is no longer present and if Ikan stuck with a difficult situation I have to say.
The only hope is the emergence of a sponsor to replace Don Quixote. The company also "has a love for martial arts, if there is funding us to target certain (for inheritance) willing to cooperate fully" with the intention to accepting. Even if we do something in that direction, we hope to find out the possibility of 一縷. But if it is fulfilled, you must be prepared for the worst that can be dissolved.
Even with the lack of any company, SRC fans, players, of course, put a great deal of inconvenience and worry like all the related parties, lay down here and I apologize.

When Michael Hackler from MMA-Japan.com wakes up from whatever beauty sleep treatment he endures on a nightly basis, we'll have a better translated version of the report and will know a little more on this story. Wild. Very wild.

About SRC business from now on...

As we already announced as an immediate report last time (on Feburary 1, 2011) about its background and the reasons, our company is at a turning point and we have to make a tough choice now.

Our mother company, Don Quixote, who also provides sponsorship for us, just officially announced their retreat from the SRC organization. We would like to honestly tell the truth since we are already to the point where we cannot do anything else. Here is what we (Don Quixote) feel:
“ We have been supporting MMA with only our passions and dreams, regardless of our huge deficits. However, our passions and dreams have been misunderstood (by who?) but some heartless media who have picked (our organization) apart in magazines, and we have been suffering from them. We have run out of patience.”

However, the company is not trying to retreat from the world of MMA completely, and they will still continue to sponsor Shooto, Pancrase, and groups which we support now such as amateur wrestling groups.

"We may also sponsor other (small) groups if they ask, although we are not going to change our company's decision; we are retreating from big event businesses like SRC.”

It is a shame to reveal our situation, but the reality is that we have to throw our hands up without the mother company and sponsor companies which we have counted on.

Our only hope is that another company like Don Quixote provides sponsorship for us that has a passion for MMA. The Mother Company has said:

“If there is a company which has passions for MMA and could support (SRC) with a decent amount of money, we would like to give them total support"

However, if there will be no company whom can help us, we have to think about the worst case scenario: the end of SRC.

Anyway, we would like to say sorry to fans of SRC, athletes, and everyone who supported us for this great deal of concern and inconvenience.

kansloze opmerking..

Ik denk dat je 'm niet helemaal begrijpt. Er staat geen smiley. De dubbele situatie in Japan raakt me juist enorm!
Top! Ennuh.. Sumimasen!
