According to reports, Brock Lesnar (http://www.fightline.com/fl/profiles/85/brock-lesnar/) was set to train with world-class kickboxer Badr Hari in preparation for his December bout with Alistair Overeem (http://www.fightline.com/fl/profiles/210/alistair-overeem/) at UFC 141.
Hari's trainer, though, denied those rumors in a interview with Fighthype.com (http://www.fighthype.com/pages/content10765.html) recently.
"I spoke to Badr the other day and he told me he is still in Morocco just working on basic conditioning stuff," Mike Passenier said. "Badr training with Brock Lesnar is fiction."
Hari is 1-1 all-time in kickboxing matches with Overeem, including a win in 2009 by TKO - the last loss suffered by "The Reem."
Hari, along with Melvin Manhoef and a host of others, have entered into the Final 16 for the K-1 World Grand Prix, which is set for October 29 in China, according to a report by MMAFighting.com (http://www.mmafighting.com/2011/09/15/badr-hari-returns-for-k-1-world-gp-final-16-overeem-schilt-ae/).
Overeem won the K-1 2010 World Grand Prix title, and was a third-place finisher in 2009. His win over Hari came in 2008 via knockout. UFC 141 is set for December 30 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Lesnar-Overeem fight is scheduled for five rounds and will determine the new No. 1 contender for the UFC (http://www.fightline.com/fl/news/ufc-news/) heavyweight championship.
