Mark Pavelich over zijn organisatie MFC:
I'm no longer in the MMA Business, It makes zero sense , I'm now in the FIGHTING Business and after MFC 34 I have no choice because the reaction of the crowd and the response from the show was insane, that's what everyone wants to see I think by now we're all sick of the dry humping, grind out a win , point sparring kind of MMA. I want to see people get knocked out or choked out, that's what I want to see. Sure some geek is going to come on here and talk about honour and being a Martial Artist and trust me I've been in this game longer than 99.9 % of anyone and there is very little honour and very little respect as far as Martial Artist go, so why jerk around, call it what it is, FIGHTING . I heard it best the other day from Jon Jones in an interview when he said "he could care less about any of the other fighters on the card I could care less what they think or say , I just care about ME". It's a sign of the times in our business very little respect for each other and very few people with ethics.
Als je het mij vraagt is het erg korte-termijn denken. Zoals ik dit lees wil hij enkel nog focussen op het actie-component. Helpt dit vooruitgang 'in the long run'? Ik denk het niet.
