Legacy Fighting Championship has a headliner for its first event of 2013.

Legacy FC 17 will feature a middleweight headliner between big-show vets Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos (18-15) and Pete Spratt (25-21), officials confirmed with MMAjunkie.

The event takes place Feb. 1 at Cowboys Dancehall in San Antonio. The night's main card airs on AXS TV.

Spratt, a 14-year vet who's competed with organizations such as the UFC and Strikeforce, is on a 3-1 run, which included a March decision victory over Daniel Acacio (19-13) at Amazon Forest Combat. In his Legacy FC debut in July 2011, he scored a vicious 25-second knockout of Antonio Flores.

He meets a fellow striker in Santos, who will fight for the first time in 18 months. The former PRIDE fighter recently requested and received his Strikeforce release following back-to-back losses to Nick Diaz and Jordan Mein.

The Legacy FC 17 card also includes NCAA Division I All-American wrestler Jared Rosholt (4-1) vs. undefeated heavyweight Richard Odoms (7-0), veteran lightweight Nick Gonzalez (18-10) vs. fellow Bellator vet Kevin Aguilar (4-1), and bantamweight prospects Billy Buch (3-1) vs. Patrick Ybarra (2-0).

Additionally, Johnny Ray Rodriguez (2-1) meets similarly named featherweight Johnny Rodriguez (2-1), and onetime Bellator competitor Rodrigo Pinheiro (3-1) returns from an 18-month layoff against an opponent TBA.
