Martin Kampmann (20-6 MMA, 11-5 UFC) welcomed Carlos Condit (28-7 MMA, 5-3 UFC) into the octagon four years ago with a split-decision loss, and now Condit will have a chance to earn his revenge.

FOXSports today reported that the welterweights are set to rematch in a headlining bout at UFC on FOX Sports 1 2, which takes place Aug. 28. at Bankers Life Fieldhouse (formerly Canseco Fieldhouse) in Indianapolis.

The event's main-card airs live on FOX Sports 1. Broadcast plans for the preliminary card have yet to be announced.

Condit and Kampmann first met at UFC Fight Night 18 in April 2009. Condit was making his octagon debut after a stint as the welterweight champ of the WEC, which shuttered its 170-pound division before closing up shop in 2010. After three closely contested rounds, Kampmann earned the nod on two judges scorecards by scores of 29-28 while one judge scored the fight 29-28 for Condit.

Condit, who is ranked No. 4 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie.com MMA welterweight rankings, is coming off back-to-back losses for the first time in his UFC career. He won the interim championship against Nick Diaz at UFC 143 and went on to challenge undisputed champ Georges St-Pierre, who unanimously outpointed him at UFC 154. He then took on top contender Johny Hendricks at UFC 158 and lost another unanimous decision.

In a previous interview, Condit took aim at a rematch with Diaz, which he said would silence critics of his UFC 143 win. But he said he first wanted to shore up weaknesses in his wrestling game to which he attributed his high-profile setbacks.

Diaz, though, remains retired and has no plans to fight, his rep Jonathan Tweedale today told mmajunkie.

Kampmann, who is ranked No. 9, aims to get back in the winner's circle after a quick knockout loss to Hendricks at this past November's UFC 154, which ended a second bid for a welterweight title shot. Prior to the loss, he won three straight, including a KO win over top contender Jake Ellenberger.

Donald Cerrone vs. Rafael dos Anjos co-headlines UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 in Indy

Two highly ranked lightweights will clash in the co-main event of UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 in Indianapolis.

UFC officials today announced Donald Cerrone (20-5 MMA, 7-2 UFC) will meet fellow contender Rafael dos Anjos (19-6 MMA, 8-4 UFC) at the event. The announcement came via the Indianapolis Star.

UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 takes place Aug. 28. at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The event's main card airs on the soon-to-debut FOX Sports 1. Broadcast plans for the preliminary card haven't been announced.

Cerrone is currently ranked No. 11 and dos Anjos No. 14 in the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie.com MMA lightweight rankings.

Cerrone recently scored a dominant and bloody unanimous-decision victory over K.J. Noons at UFC 160 to move to 3-1 in his past four fights. The other victories came over Melvin Guillard and Jeremy Stephens. The former WEC title challenger and well-rounded Greg Jackson protege has been one of Zuffa's biggest bonus collectors during his six years with the company. His 11 WEC and UFC fight-night awards have resulted in $410,000 in extra pay.

He now meets dos Anjos, a veteran who's finally emerged as a legit contender following a four-fight win streak. He picked up perhaps his most important win to date when he recently edged Evan Dunham at UFC on FX 8, though nearly every major media outlet scored it for Dunham. Still, the Brazilian has proven a top-level lightweight following wins over the likes of Mark Bocek, George Sotiropoulos and Terry Etim in recent years.

The latest UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 card includes: Carlos Condit vs. Martin Kampmann

'TUF' winners Court McGee vs. Robert Whittaker added to UFC on FOX Sports 1 2

The UFC's return to Indianapolis continues to take shape with the addition of a welterweight fight between a pair of "TUF" winners.

Court McGee (14-3 MMA, 4-2 UFC) will meet Robert Whittaker (11-2 MMA, 2-0 UFC) at UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 in Indianapolis this August. UFC officials announced the bout on Wednesday.

UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 takes place Aug. 28 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in the Indiana capital city. The event's main card will air on FOX Sports 1, which debuts on Aug. 17 with UFC on FOX Sports 1 1 in Boston.

UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 will be headlined by a welterweight rematch between Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann, and the co-main event, announced earlier in the day Wednesday, is a lightweight fight between Donald Cerrone and Rafael dos Anjos.

McGee, the Season 11 winner of "The Ultimate Fighter," made his welterweight debut in February and took a unanimous decision from Josh Neer at UFC 157. Prior to that, he had dropped back-to-back fights at middleweight to Constantinos Philippou and Nick Ring following a 3-0 start to his UFC career.

Whittaker was the welterweight winner of the recent U.K. vs. Australia international edition of "TUF," winning "The Smashes" with a unanimous decision against U.K. fighter Brad Scott in December. Just 10 days ago at UFC 160 in Las Vegas, he fought "TUF 16" winner Colton Smith and won with a third-round knockout. So fighting fellow former "TUF" winners will not be anything new to him. He has won four of his past five fights.

With the addition, the latest UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 card includes:

Carlos Condit vs. Martin Kampmann
Donald Cerrone vs. Rafael dos Anjos
James Head vs. Bobby Voelker
Sarah Kaufman vs. Sara McMann
Kelvin Gastelum vs. Paulo Thiago

Justin Ewards-Brandon Thatch booked for UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 in Indianapolis

Recent UFC signee Brandon Thatch will make his highly anticipated debut for the promotion in August.

Thatch (9-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) has been booked for a welterweight bout against Justin Edwards (8-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) for his UFC debut at UFC on FOX Sports 1 2. UFC officials announced the matchup Wednesday night.

UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 takes place Aug. 28 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The event's main card airs on FOX Sports 1.

UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 is headlined by a welterweight rematch between Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann. The co-main event is a lightweight fight between Donald Cerrone and Rafael dos Anjos.

Thatch signed with the UFC a month ago and now has his first assignment. The Colorado-based fighter has won eight straight fights, all by first-round stoppage. His lone loss came under the Strikeforce banner in a 2008 split-decision loss to Brandon Magana at the Playboy Mansion in California. Six of his nine stoppage wins have come by knockout or TKO.

He'll meet Edwards, a "TUF 13" veteran who is coming off arguably the biggest win of his MMA career, a first-round submission of Josh Neer at UFC on FX 5 this past October in Minneapolis that lasted just 45 seconds. That got Edwards back in the win column after a decision loss to John Maguire in November 2011. Prior to that, he had a win over Jorge Lopez at UFC Fight Night 25 in New Orleans that erased a loss to Clay Harvison in his promotional debut at the TUF 13 Finale.

With the addition, the latest UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 card includes:

Carlos Condit vs. Martin Kampmann
Donald Cerrone vs. Rafael dos Anjos
James Head vs. Bobby Voelker
Sarah Kaufman vs. Sara McMann
Kelvin Gastelum vs. Paulo Thiago

Darren Elkins vs. Hatsu Hioki set for UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 in Indianapolis

The UFC finally has one of Indiana's own on the card for its return to the Hoosier State.

Indiana native and resident Darren Elkins (16-3 MMA, 5-2 UFC) is set for a featherweight bout against Hatsu Hioki (26-6-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) when the UFC hits the Indiana state capital this August. Sources with knowledge of the fight confirmed the booking to MMAjunkie after an initial report from Brett Okamoto at ESPN

The bout will be part of UFC on FOX Sports 1 2, which takes place Aug. 28 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The event's main card airs on FOX Sports 1. The main event is a welterweight rematch between Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann. Donald Cerrone meets Rafael dos Anjos in the night's co-feature.

Elkins will be looking for a return to the win column after an April loss to former featherweight title challenger Chad Mendes at UFC on FOX 7. Elkins took that fight on a month's notice when fellow Midwest native Clay Guida was forced out with an injury. The loss snapped a five-fight win streak since his drop to featherweight from 155 pounds that culminated with a first-round TKO stoppage of Antonio Carvalho at UFC 158 in March.

Elkins will be fighting in his home state for the first time since a win over UFC veteran Gideon Ray at Hoosier Fight Club's inaugural event in November 2009. That win got him a call from the UFC, where he went 1-1 as a lightweight with a quick TKO win over Duane Ludwig due to a Ludwig injury and a quick submission loss to Charles Oliveira. He then dropped to 145 and rattled off decision wins over Michihiro Omigawa, Tiequan Zhang, Diego Brandao and Steven Siler before his TKO of Carvalho.

Hioki, a former champion for Shooto and Sengoku, signed with the UFC in 2011 as arguably the top featherweight outside the promotion. His career with the UFC got off to a bit of a rocky start, though, with a split-decision win over George Roop at UFC 137 that many observers scored in Roop's favor.

After a win over Bart Palaszewski at UFC 144 in his native Japan, Hioki was offered a shot at champ Jose Aldo that would have been a meeting between then the top two featherweights in the world. But saying he needed more octagon experience, he turned the fight down and instead met Ricardo Lamas at UFC on FX 4 – where he dropped a unanimous decision. In January, he lost for the second straight time when Guida took a split decision from him at UFC on FOX 6 in Chicago.

Tickets for UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 go on sale Friday to the general public at 10 a.m. ET. UFC Fight Club members can purchase tickets on Wednesday at 10 a.m. ET, and subscribers to the UFC's e-newsletter can get tickets with a password on Thursday at 10 a.m. ET.

'TUF' vets Ben Alloway, Zak Cummings meet at UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 in Indy

The UFC's return to Indianapolis now has a welterweight bout between a pair of "Ultimate Fighter" alums.

Zak Cummings (15-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC), from "TUF 17," and Ben Alloway (13-4 MMA, 1-1 UFC), from this past fall's international edition of the reality series between the U.K. and Australia, will meet at UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 in August. The UFC on Tuesday night confirmed a report from Australian news outlet GoldCoast.com.

UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 takes place Aug. 28 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The main card, which features a welterweight rematch between Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann, plus a lightweight bout between Donald Cerrone and Rafael dos Anjos, airs on FOX Sports 1.

Alloway, from Australia, reached the quarterfinals on "TUF: U.K. vs. Australia," but lost a split decision to Brad Scott. He made his official UFC debut at UFC on FX 6 in his home country in December and picked up the event's "Knockout of the Night" bonus when he stopped Manuel Rodriguez in the first round. But at UFC on FUEL TV 9 in April, he dropped a unanimous decision to Ryan LaFlare in Sweden.

Cummings was the lone fighter from "TUF 17" to not be booked after the show finished airing this past spring, reportedly due to an injury. Although he fought at middleweight on the show under coach Chael Sonnen, but failed to reach the quarterfinals. He'll make his official UFC debut with five wins in his past six fights – with the lone loss a unanimous decision setback to current UFC light heavyweight Ryan Jimmo. Cummings' resume includes a Bellator win over Rudy Bears and a loss to Tim Kennedy in Strikeforce.

Dylan Andrews vs. Papy Abedi added to August's UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 event

A middleweight matchup between "The Ultimate Fighter 17" cast member Dylan Andrews (16-4 MMA, 1-0 UFC) and Swedish contender Papy Abedi (9-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) is the latest addition to the UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 event.

UFC officials today announced the new booking, which sees Abedi move up to 185 pounds after three fights in the octagon at welterweight. The bout was originally reported by Australian news outlet MMA Kanvas.

Featuring a welterweight rematch between Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann, UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 takes place Aug. 28 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Andrews was a cast member on "The Ultimate Fighter 17" and wound up as the final fighter of the 14 picked to a team. He wound up making it to the semifinal round before losing by TKO to Uruah Hall. "The Villain" bounced back at the show's live finale, earning an impressive first-round TKO over fellow cast member Jimmy Quinlan.

Meanwhile, Abedi made his UFC debut in 2011 as an undefeated prospect but was submitted by perennial contender Thiago Alves. He suffered the same fate against James Head five months later. Abedi bounced back in April, earning a split-decision victory over Besam Yousef in a must-win matchup. Now he moves up to 185 pounds for the fight with Andrews.

The latest UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 card now includes:

Carlos Condit vs. Martin Kampmann

Nandor Guelmino meets Derrick Lewis in heavyweight bout at UFC on FOX Sports 1 2

The UFC's August return to Indianapolis now likely has a full dance card thanks to the addition of a fight between a pair of UFC-debuting heavyweights.

Nandor Guelmino (11-4-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) will meet Derrick Lewis (9-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) at UFC on FOX Sports 1 2. Sources with knowledge of the fight booking confirmed the matchup to MMAjunkie, though UFC officials have not yet made a formal announcement. That fight brings the card's total up to 13 bouts.

UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 takes place Aug. 28 – a Wednesday – at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The main card will air on the FOX Sports 1 cable network and will be the second UFC card on the channel.

UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 is headlined by a welterweight rematch between Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann. A lightweight bout between Donald Cerrone and Rafael dos Anjos takes the co-main event slot.

Guelmino made his North American debut in January when he met Josh Barnett at Strikeforce's final show in Oklahoma City. Barnett stopped him just over two minutes into the fight with an arm-triangle choke. That loss snapped the Austrian's seven-fight win streak, which included five stoppages in Europe.

Despite the loss to Barnett, which was Guelmino's Strikeforce debut, he was brought into the UFC anyway with the merger of the two promotions. Of his 11 career wins, nine have come by stoppage.

Lewis will make his UFC debut on a six-fight unbeaten streak that includes five knockout wins and a no contest. In March, he stopped Ricky Shivers in the third round at Legacy FC 18 to follow up on a knockout of Jared Rosholt at Legacy FC 13.

Lewis hasn't lost in nearly two years, a unanimous decision setback to Tony Johnson at Bellator 46 on June 25, 2011. The only other loss of his career coincidentally came on June 25, 2010 at the hands of current UFC heavyweight standout Shawn Jordan So it stands to reason that if Lewis isn't fighting on June 25, he'll be fine with it.

The latest UFC on FOX Sports 1 2 card now includes:

Carlos Condit vs. Martin Kampmann
Donald Cerrone vs. Rafael dos Anjos
Kelvin Gastelum vs. Paulo Thiago
Sarah Kaufman vs. Sara McMann
Takeya Mizugaki vs. Erik Perez
Court McGee vs. Robert Whittaer

Sara McMann out vs. Sarah Kaufman at UFC Fight Night 27, replacement sought

UFC women's bantamweight Sara McMann (7-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) has withdrawn from UFC Fight Night 27, and the UFC currently is seeking a replacement opponent for Sarah Kaufman (16-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC).

Multiple sources close to the promotion today informed MMAjunkie McMann was forced to withdraw from the fight for undisclosed reasons.

UFC Fight Night 27 takes place Aug. 28 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. McMann vs. Kaufman was slated for the event's FOX Sports 1-televised main card.

McMann successfully debuted in the octagon at April's UFC 159 with a first-round TKO of Shiela Gaff. The performance extended her undefeated streak to seven fights.

An Olympic silver medalist in wrestling, McMann signed with Strikeforce in 2012 for a debut against now-UFC fighter Liz Carmouche, but the event on which they were to fight was canceled. She went on to compete under the Invicta FC banner, where she was slated to fight for the promotion's inaugural bantamweight title. She was signed to the UFC before she could vie for the belt.

Kaufman also fought for Invicta before being scooped up by the UFC. She earned a split-call over Leslie Smith in the all-women's promotion, which was her first bout after Ronda Rousey armbarred her this past August in a Strikeforce women's bantamweight title fight.

In the previous incarnation of the now-defunct promotion, Kaufman dominated the competition and won the women's bantamweight belt in 2010. She lost it in her second title defense, but finished her tenure with a 4-2 record.

Stay tuned to MMAjunkie.com for an update on Kaufman's new opponent.

With the change, the UFC Fight Night 27 lineup now includes:

Carlos Condit vs. Martin Kampmann
Donald Cerrone vs. Rafael dos Anjos
Kelvin Gastelum vs. Brian Melancon
Sarah Kaufman vs. TBA
Court McGee vs. Robert Whittaker
Robert McDaniel vs. Brad Tavares
Takeya Mizugaki vs. Erik Perez

Sarah Kaufman off UFC Fight Night 27 card, will be rescheduled

After losing opponent Sara McMann (7-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) earlier this month and with a replacement unavailable, Sarah Kaufman (16-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) has been pulled from next week's UFC Fight Night 27 lineup.

MMAjunkie confirmed the bout with sources close to the event, who said the former Strikeforce women's bantamweight champion will be rescheduled for a later event.

UFC Fight Night 27 takes place Aug. 28 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. McMann vs. Kaufman was slated for the event's FOX Sports 1-televised main card.

A bout from the FOX Sports 2 or Facebook prelims is likely to be promoted to the main card to take its place.

Kaufman recently fought for Invicta FC before the UFC scooped her up. She earned a split-decision win over Leslie Smith in the all-women's promotion, which was her first bout after Ronda Rousey submitted her a year ago in a Strikeforce title fight.

An Olympic silver medalist in wrestling, McMann signed with Strikeforce in 2012 for a debut against now-UFC fighter Liz Carmouche, but the event was later canceled. She went on to compete for Invicta FC, where she was slated to fight for the promotion's inaugural bantamweight title before ultimately signing with the UFC, where she defeated Sheila Gaff in her debut at UFC 159. The reason for her UFC Fight Night 27 withdrawal wasn't disclosed.

Two bouts from next week's UFC Fight Night 27 event have been promoted to higher-profile spots on the fight card.

Additionally, a welterweight bout of James Head (9-3 MMA, 2-2 UFC) vs. Jason High (16-4 MMA, 0-2 UFC) has taken the Mizugaki-Perez spot on the FOX Sports 2-televised preliminary card following a promotion from the Facebook prelims.
