UFC Fight Night 27 bonuses: Thatch, Cummings, Condit, Kampmann earn $50K

INDIANAPOLIS – Brandon Thatch, Zak Cummings, Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann each earned $50,000 bonuses for their performances at Wednesday's UFC Fight Night 27 event.

UFC President Dana White announced the winners following Wednesday's card, which took place at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The night's main card aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims that aired on FOX Sports 2 and streamed on Facebook.

Thatch came in to Wednesday night with ample hype backing his UFC debut, and delivered on all fronts. Assaulting a tough Justin Edwards from the opening bell with a barrage of punches, kicks and knees, Thatch had his opponent on the defensive from the opening bell. Thatch refused to let him recover, keeping the volume high and eventually landing a flush knee that sent Edwards crashing to the floor. Thatch followed to the floor to get the 83-second win and the "Knockout of the Night" bonus.

Cummings, a cast member on "The Ultimate Fighter 17," was forced by injury to wait until four months after the show wrapped to make his UFC debut. He made the most with his opportunity, defending well in the clinch against Ben Alloway and eventually working himself to a dominant position on the floor, where he deftly snuck in a D'Arce choke after faking a move to the back, earning a first-round tap and a "Submission of the Night" bonus.

Meeting in a rematch of their 2009 affair, Kampmann and Condit combined for another memorable matchup. It was Kampmann who dominated the opening round, outwrestling Condit with ease and controlling the pace and positioning of the contest. But Condit battled back for the remainder of the fight, defending multiple takedown attempts and outstriking Kampmann en route to stopping the Dane in the fourth round. The back-and-forth affair was enough to earn the pair the night's "Fight of the Night" bonus.

Partij van Thatch was ook snel over! Edwards had er niks tegenin te brengen!
En erg jammer van Cerrone, ik had veel beter van hem verwacht...

Main event was in ieder geval super! Erg mooie partij en een mooie revenge voor NBK!

Vind hem nog steeds een kneus omdat hij niet met Diaz durfde te vechten. Komt niet meer goed denk ik met de natural born runner.

Condit had geen trek in Diaz omdat hij vond dat hij de GSP partij allang verdient had en daar was ik het ook mee eens. Hem werd telkens het titelgevecht voorgehouden en had zich daar al maanden mentaal op voorbereid, logisch dat hij gewoon gemakkelijk van Diaz af wilde komen. Elk ander gevecht wil hij finishen, en ik denk dat een rematch er ook heel anders uit zou zien.
