Former UFC (http://www.mixedmartialarts.com/mma.cfm?go=news.search&phrase=UFC) welterweight champion Matt Serra (http://www.MixedMartialArts.com/f/D6DF61D58F2C58E4/Matt-Serra/) recently appeared on The Joe Rogan (http://www.mixedmartialarts.com/mma.cfm?go=news.search&phrase=Joe%20Rogan) Experience, and discussed among other things the poster child for Testosterone Replacement Therapy, Vitor Belfort (http://www.MixedMartialArts.com/f/B32725C4FE3EE744/Vitor-Belfort/).
Belfort has maintained that he does not know why he needs TRT, but fans point to a 2006 positive test for PEDS, and links between PED abuse and low testosterone. Serra was not shy about what he thinks caused it.
"Do what remember what you talked about, about him beating Jon Hess?" asked Serra, as transcribed my MMAMania (http://www.mmamania.com/2014/3/20/5526994/ufc-joe-rogan-will-miss-trt-vitor-belfort-his-era-spectacular-victories-mma). "You remember those fights? That's why there's TRT Vitor. That guy was an animal back then! What'd you think, it was fruits and vegetables??!?"

Vitor was widely believed to be on PEDs during his early, spectacular run in the UFC, and his late, spectacular run was explicitly fueled by artificial testosterone. Rogan says that in a way, he will miss the testosterone fueled Vitor Belfort (http://www.MixedMartialArts.com/f/B32725C4FE3EE744/Vitor-Belfort/).

"TRT Vitor ... when we go down over eras, of the greatest most impressive fighters, there's going to be a part of me that is sad, that TRT Vitor has to come down to an end. It's a part of me that's very sad. I mean, I see the argument that it's unfair ...but, goddamn TRT Vitor, that era, that's what I'm going to call it forever. If you look at those TRT fights, look at the fight with Luke Rockhold."
"Dan Henderson, Michael Bisping and Luke Rockhold, those are the TRT Vitor fights, that is the TRT Vitor era -- one of the most impressive fighters of all time. Those three fights, those are f---ing spectacular victories. Three absolutely spectacular victories ... those fights I think, goes down in history as some of the most impressive performances ever."
"TRT Vitor, who's been fighting since '97, was about to fight Chris Weidman for the title. Way before a lot of these dudes, and everybody's burned out, TRT Vitor is fucking throwing wheel kicks."
"He's going to fight again. He just has to get his body natural; the question is, can he at this point in time, get to a point where so healthy he can actually fight, not just get to a point where he can walk around, or but he get a point where can have levels high enough so he can sustain a training camp?"

Ik vind het ook jammer. Hij kon keihard knallen. Maar het is wel beter dat het afgelopen is.

Benieuwd of we Bigfoot nu met melk spuitend uit zijn tepels in de ring gaan zien.
