Former Pride (http://www.mixedmartialarts.com/mma.cfm?go=news.search&phrase=Pride) heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko (http://www.mixedmartialarts.com/mma.cfm?go=news.search&phrase=Fedor%20Emelianenko) was recently interviewed by Michael Schiavello for The Voice Versus Fedor, and was asked if it tarnished his legacy that he never fought in the UFC?
"Well, the UFC didn't want me to fight there, so what could I do? We were unable to make a deal," said Emelianenkoo. "They offered unacceptable conditions. Actually, when I fought in PRIDE, we had the best fighters in the world. Back then the UFC had a very serious and big crisis. They were going through some hard times being able to get top fighters. All the best fighters were in PRIDE."
"Later on, when PRIDE ceased to exist, the UFC didn't immediately pick up speed. Currently, the UFC is a super organization, in the world, probably the best. There are several top fighters in every weights category and in general, it is hard to see the whole picture, I'd say. So there are some fighters whom it is interesting to watch, but the rest of them, well, it's not interesting for me."
In his longest interview ever, Fedor answers a series of compelling questions. How did you first meet president Putin? What would it take to get Fedor Emelianenko in the ring, one last time? And, did you think Fedor had maybe some trace of anti-social behavior or psychopathy?
The Voice Versus Fedor premieres on Friday September 19 at 10 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. PT on AXS TV.

Pride is en blijft inderdaad magic. Kijk uit naar het interview met de GOAT.
