UFC on FOX 13 bonuses: Entwistle, Mitrione, Dos Santos, Miocic win $50,000

Ian Entwistle, Matt Mitrione, Junior dos Santos and Stipe Miocic each earned $50,000 bonuses for their performances at today’s UFC on FOX 13 event.

Entwistle and Mitrione won “Performance of the Night” bonuses, while Dos Santos and Miocic earned “Fight of the Night” honors.

UFC on FOX 13 took place today at Phoenix’s U.S. Airways Center. The evening’s main card card on FOX following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

Entwistle kicked off the night’s card by instantly attacking Anthony Birchak’s leg and refusing to let go until he earned the heel-hook win just 64 seconds into the fight.

Meanwhile, Mitrione faced fellow heavy hitter Gabriel Gonzaga in the first bout of the main card. Flashing speedy hands in a quick counter, Mitrione landed on the button and then unleashed a non-stop flurry until he scored a first-round TKO win.

Dos Santos and Miocic were the obvious choice for “Fight of the Night” honors, as the two stood toe-to-toe for the entirety of their 25-minute matchup. Featuring non-stop shifts in momentum, both men looked destined to end the fight, but it somehow went to the judges, where Dos Santos was awarded a decision win.
