It appears the UFC’s first visit to the New York state capital city has its first fight.

Heavyweight Anthony Hamilton (15-5 MMA, 3-3 UFC) says he’s been booked for a fight against Francis Ngannou (8-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 102 in Albany. Hamilton told the news to Las Vegas NBC Sports Radio affiliate AM 920, though the UFC has not yet formally announced the fight.

UFC Fight Night 102 takes place Dec. 9 at Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. The rare UFC Friday night card will stream in its entirety on UFC Fight Pass.

Hamilton signed with the UFC in 2014 on a six-fight winning streak, including heavyweight titles for CageSport in his home state of Washington and MFC in Canada. But in the UFC, he has alternated wins and losses in all six of his fights. He has knockout wins over Ruan Potts and Damian Grabowski, and a decision victory over Daniel Omielanczuk. But he has a decision loss to Shamil Abdurakhimov, a 33-second knockout loss to Todd Duffee and a submission loss to Oleksiy Oliynyk, which came in his promotional debut.

Most recently, he got back in the win column with a knockout of Grabowski at UFC 201 in Atlanta, so once again he’ll be trying to put together his first winning streak in the promotion.

Ngannou has won seven straight fights, including his first three in the UFC – and all his career wins have come by stoppage. The Frenchman, who is an honorable mention selection in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA heavyweight rankings, has knockouts in all three of his UFC bouts. In July at UFC on FOX 20, he shut down Bojan Mihajlovic just 94 seconds into their fight. Prior to that, he stopped Curtis Blaydes in April and Luis Henrique this past December in his promotional debut.

UFC Fight Night 102 gets eight new fights, including Derrick Lewis vs. Shamil Abdurakhimov headliner

Heavyweights will feature prominently at UFC 102, with Derrick Lewis vs. Shamil Abdurakhimov serving as headliner, and a previously reported contest of Anthony Hamilton vs. Francis Ngannou in the co-feature.

UFC officials today announced the main event, adding officially adding eight more fights to the lineup, as well.

UFC Fight Night 102 takes place Dec. 9 at Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. The entire card streams live on UFC Fight Pass.

Lewis (16-4 MMA, 7-2 UFC) is currently ranked No. 11 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA heavyweight rankings and carries a four-fight winning streak into the cage. He was expected to headline UFC Fight Night 97 this Saturday before the contest was scratched. He now meets Russia’s Abdurakhimov (17-3 MMA, 2-1 UFC), who came up short in his UFC debut against Timothy Johnson but has since rebounded with wins over Walt Harris and Hamilton.

In addition to a previously reported matchup of Raphael Assuncao vs. Aljamain Sterling, UFC Fight Night 102 also now boasts light heavyweights Patrick Cummins vs. Gian Villante, middleweights Oluwale Bamgbose vs. Joseph Gigliotti, welterweights Randy Brown vs. Charlie Ward, middleweights Keith Berish vs. Ryan Janes, strawweights Juliana Lima vs. Tatiana Suarez, light heavyweights Corey Anderson vs. Sean O'Connell and featherweights Tiago Trator vs. Zubaira Tukhugov.

Cummins (8-4 MMA, 4-4 UFC) looks to snap out of a disappointing streak after back-to-back stoppage losses to Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Glover Teixeira. He meets Villante (14-7 MMA, 4-4 UFC) who fought most recently in March, suffering a decision loss to Ilir Latifi.

Bamgbose (6-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) had been slated to fight Josh Samman before his tragic death. Instead, “The Holy War Angel” now meets Gigliotti (7-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) who came up short in his UFC debut.

Brown (8-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) returns to action after a September win over Erick Montano and now faces Ward (2-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC), an Irishman who makes his UFC debut.

Berish (5-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) made his UFC debut in June 2014 but suffered a significant knee injury in a loss to Robert Drysdale that was later overturned following his opponent failing a drug test. Janes (8-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) makes his UFC debut on the strength of a seven-fight winning streak.

Lima (8-3 MMA 2-2 UFC), who’s ranked No. 15 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA women’s strawweight rankings, looks to rebound from an April loss to Carla Esparza. Suarez (4-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) returns to action for the first time since winning “The Ultimate Fighter 23.”

Anderson (8-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) saw a three-fight winning streak snapped in May in a disappointing split-decision result against Mauricio “Shogun” Rua. He now faces O’Connell (17-8 MMA, 2-4 UFC), who has earned “Fight of the Night” bonuses in three of his past five UFC appearances.

Trator (20-5-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) hasn’t fought since a September 2015 win over Clay Collard at UFC 191. He now faces Tukhugov (18-4 MMA, 3-1 UFC), who saw a nine-fight winning streak end at May’s UFC 198, where he suffered a split-decision loss to Renato Carneiro.

With the additions to the card, the UFC Fight Night 102 lineup now includes:

Derrick Lewis vs. Shamil Abdurakhimov
Anthony Hamilton vs. Francis Ngannou

Then, after more than a year on the sidelines, he returned from a hand injury at UFC Fight Night 92 in August for a decision win over Joe Gigliotti.

Was wel heel moeizaam tegen Nelson en het is niet echt een fijne vent. Maar hij vecht wel veel dus had ook wel iets verwacht tegen een hoger gerankte tegenstander.

Brian Camozzi gets fill-in duties at UFC Fight Night 102 in Albany

RFA welterweight champion Brian Camozzi is set for a UFC debut.

A few months after winning the vacant RFA title, Camozzi (7-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) has been tapped as a replacement for Irish fighter Charlie Ward (2-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC), who was ruled out of a UFC Fight Night 102 bout with Randy Brown (8-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) due to visa issues.

UFC officials announced the new Camozzi vs. Brown matchup via newsday.com.

UFC Fight Night 102 takes place Dec. 9 at Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. The entire card streams live on UFC Fight Pass, though the bout order hasn’t been finalized.

Brian Camozzi, the younger brother of UFC vet Chris Camozzi, scored a 100-second submission win over Nick Barnes in September to claim the RFA belt (watch the highlights above). It was the 25-year-old’s fifth straight win and seventh stoppage in seven career victories. His past three wins have all come with RFA, which has sent numerous champions and top fighters to the UFC in recent years.

Brown, meanwhile, is 2-1 under the UFC banner since joining the promotion after a featured slot on the “Dana White: Lookin’ for a Fight” series. The 26-year-old former Ring of Combat champion scored a decision victory over Matt Dwyer in his January promotional debut before a submission loss to Michael Graves in April. After rebounding with a submission victory over Erick Montano in September, Brown now looks to make it a 3-1 calendar year in the UFC.

The latest UFC Fight Night 102 card now includes:
Derrick Lewis vs. Shamil Abdurakhimov
Anthony Hamilton vs. Francis Ngannou
Raphael Assuncao vs. Aljamain Sterling
Patrick Cummins vs. Gian Villante
Oluwale Bamgbose vs. Joseph Gigliotti
Juliana Lima vs. Tatiana Suarez
Tiago Trator vs. Zubaira Tukhugov
Keith Berish vs. Ryan Janes
Randy Brown vs. Charlie Ward
Corey Anderson vs. Sean O’Connell
Andrew Sanchez vs. Trevor Smith
Marc Diakiese vs. Frankie Perez
