K-1 gaat deze dagen aan een aantal vechters contracten aanbieden voor de Nieuw Jaars Avond show. Ze al begonnen met Nogueira, ze zijn nu in onderhandeling en verwachter er 1 deze dagen uit te komen. De K-1 wil trouwens proberen om de rematch tussen Fedor en Nog te doen.

The Japanese media have been reporting that Nogueira Rodrigo Minotauro may be leaving Pride and joing the K-1 organisation. Reports are saying that Minotauro is displeased that Pride did not award victory to him in his fight against Fedor at the Heavyweight Grand Prix which was stopped due to a major cut received by Fedor. This along with poor negotiations with DSE over conditions has lead to Minotauro looking towards K1, the reports suggest.

Officially BTT are refusing to confirm any such rumors. They say they are still negotiating a rematch with Fedor which will be billed by Pride as a Super-Fight.

The Japanese press has been talking a lot about the relationship between K-1 and Pride heavyweight Interim champion Rodrigo Minotauro. The idea was featuring Minotauro at December 31's event.


The end of his contract and BTT disagreement with the Pride GP decision would be the reasons for this change, according to the Japanese press. However, the Brazilian Top Team official position stands that they might deal a renovation of his contract and also close a super fight with Russian Emelianenko Fedor.

Besides this fact, BTT admits the dealing with Dream Stage Entertainment has not moved forward. Japanese pressures and exposed a proposal: They might face each other on next December 31, during the Man Festival 2. BTT and Rodrigo Minotauro are not pleased with Pride decision to not continue the Pride GP heavyweight.

Aan de ene kant wel mooi, maar aan de andere kant. Hoe hoger de prijzen van de vechters worden hoe kleiner de kans dat we internationale toppers in Nederland zien.
