Hidehiko Yoshida expressed his intentions to participate in PRIDE's 2005 16-man Middleweight (under 205 pounds/93 kg) GP tournament.

The tournament will have shows in Japan in April, June, and August. Yoshida showed interest in fighting Vanderlei Silva.
