Wright-Trinidad back on target
The super-fight between Winky Wright and Felix Trinidad has been salvaged, according to reports.
WBC and WBA light middleweight champion Wright was unhappy at the $3m (£1.6m) purse offered by promoter Don King.
But Wright has been assured he will meet middleweight king Bernard Hopkins in September should he beat Trinidad, according to SecondsOut.com. A venue has yet to be announced but the fight is apparently set for May and will be a non-title middleweight match.
However, WBC president Jose Sulaiman has threatened to strip Wright of his WBC title if he challenges the Puerto Rican legend.
Wright has been ordered to face long-time interim champion Francisco Castillejo.
