This week's edition of the UFC reality show "The Ultimate Fighter", held strong in the ratings for their second only show of the series. The show did a 1.4 cable rating, with a 2.9 share.
The 1.4 number marks the same rating the show pulled last week, meaning it held strong with the audience that witnessed the premiere. That was a big question mark heading into this week, which now looks to have surfaced with good results.
The feedback on the internet from the "die-hard MMA group" on the message boards has been terrible for the second episode of the series, so it looks as though it's time to play the waiting game once again and see if that carries over to the casual audience, which makes up the majority of the viewership for the show.
Next week actual fighting begins, so the die-hards should love that, and one would assume with increased training and fighting sessions, the "Real World" style reality format will decrease a bit. It should be interesting to see how that plays with the numbers.
All in all, the good news from last week's debut numbers hangs in another week, which is a positive thing no matter how you break it down.
