Pound for pound the two best female fighters in the world step into the ring to decide who truly is the greatest. Shibata, a WCK fan favorite throws every kick and punch with bad intentions and is an intense fighter who presses every minute of every round. She has dominated the 112 lbs. Division since Elmont’s retirement 1 ½ year ago. Shibata is sharp right now and on top of her game. Look for her to apply some vicious punch/kick combinations in this fight. Her power will be great as she has fought and knocked out much heavier opponents. Elmont, a celebrated European superstar beat their only common opponent in Jussy Lowe, but ring rust could cause her timing to be off. Ilonka went to Thailand to train for three weeks to prepare for this fight before returning to Holland to work with her world renown trainer, Lucien Carbin before leaving for Las Vegas. If Elmont can wade through Shibata’s power and get her into a clinch, the fight could turn quickly.
