Nokaut: Hi Mirko, you're about to fight Magomedov. Are you familliar with his style?
Mirko: I saw some of his fights and I have some sorte of picture. He's tough.
Nokaut: He's a big underdog in this fight, how do you feel about that?
Mirko: I'm not thinking about it that way. Everyone is dangerous,
he's brave enough to fight me so I'm taking him seriously enough.
Nokaut: You learn from the past?
Mirko: Yes, I learn to never underestimate my opponents.
Nokaut: What do you expect from this fight?
Mirko: I want a good fight, something exciting for the crowd.
I'm in a very good shape and it's better for him to be ready.
Nokaut: You were not quite satisfied with this match-up?
Mirko: Yes, I expected to fight Fedor. Now I'll send him a message again.
Nokaut: What kind of message?
Mirko: A painfull one I hope.
Nokaut: Ibrahim's team is very optimistic about this fight.
Mirko: My team is also optimistic (laugh). It's perfectly normal,
he won't enter the ring with thoughts about defeat.
Nokaut: This is the fight that you can't afford to lose. The title match is coming right up?
Mirko: It was confirmed that I'm going to fight Fedor in August, no matter of the outcome
of this fight. But however, before I face Fedor I'll face Ibrahim and I'm thinking only
about my next fight at this point.
Nokaut: You said you're in a very good shape. So you're quite satisified with the preparations?
Mirko: We're doing a good jog and I feel great. I'll be 100% ready for the fight.
I want to thank my teammates for helping me out and all other guys who came to train with me,
I really appreciate it.
Nokaut: You're still training with Fabricio Werdum. He's back from ADCC tournament?
Mirko: Fabricio is quite dissapointed because he didn't do better. I think that reaching semifinals
is a very nice success, but he wanted to win the tournament.
Now he's back and we're back to our usual training routine.
Nokaut: Are you ready enough to fight Ibrahim on the ground if needed?
Mirko: As I said number of times, my ground game is really improved and I can fight anyone
on the ground. However, I'll be allways a stand-up kind of fighter.
Nokaut: So the gameplan is like allways, trying to finish the fight in stand-up?
Mirko: I don't have much of the gameplan. But yes, KO is allways a gameplan hehe!
Nokaut: Do yout thnik that Fedor will be the one behind Ibrahim's strategy?
Mirko: I can't tell and I don't care much.
Nokaut: You had no summer break for years. When you're planing to enjoy on Croatian beaches?
Mirko: I'll enjoy when I take my PRIDE belt with me to the beach (laugh).
Nokaut: can you comment PRIDE's MW GP? Who's your pick?
Mirko: It's hard to say. Silva is the champion and that speaks for itself, but other guys
can do much too. Igor seems to be in a great shap, Nogueira too.
