Thomas 'Hitman' Hearns, who won six world titles in five weight divisions, has revealed that he plans to make a return to the ring at the age of 46.
Hearns, who lost his last bout in April 2000, will fight an unnamed opponent on 30 July in Detroit, on the same bill as his 26-year-old son Ronald.
"There's a lot of fire built up inside of me," he told the Detroit News.
"My goal is to win another title and walk away saying 'thank you for allowing me to do what I wanted to'."
It is expected his opponent will be announced on Friday.
