Urban Destruction mixed martial arts charity event
Twenty-six men will meet in a ring for some intense MMA and K1 style kickboxing
The event takes place on Saturday 30 July in the British and Commonwealth Museum.
The competition will feature the cream of MMA fighting talent with hosts 'Trojan Free Fighters' putting on an intimidating force to their rivals.
Highlights include Pride fighter James "The Colossus" Thompson, a 6'4" super heavyweight who weighs in at 20 stone and rising star Zelg the former world Tae kwondo champion.
The Urban Destruction teams' chosen charity for this event is the NSPCC, for whom much of the money raised will be via a charity raffle.

The matches are as follows:
(1) James Thompson (Trojan Free Fighters) V Autimo.C. Antonia (Loes Gym – Holland) Heavyweight match
Thompson fresh from a devastating win in Pride, takes on San shou and Muay Thai stylist A. C. Antonia. Antonia has had a recent run of wins after a poor start in the world of MMA. His losses were to the likes of Valntijn Overeem and as such were an indication of the will of this man to fight at the highest level. (Pro – MMA)
(2) Zelg (Trojan Free Fighters) V John Fleming 84 kg (Team Duncan Airlie James)
Zelg the young Croatian/British star was a former world Tae Kwondo champion. He has applied his explosive fighting style to MMA and is already being eyed up by some of the big international promotions. He meets the rising star of Scottish MMA, Fleming, who destroyed Ross Pointon in a matter of a minute at the showcase combat arts event Pain and Glory. Fleming staes he intends to come and have a war. So expect an intense match between these two young fighters who both have something to prove. (Pro – MMA)
(3) Matt Sellers ( Trojan Free fighters) V Joey Van Wenroy 77 kg (Mikes Gym Holland)
Sellers made easy work of Steve Cunningham of team Mark weir at the first UD. Van Wenroy is expected to prove a sterner test. The Dutch fighter proved his worth with a destructive performance against a Russian opponent on the recent K1 anarchy show. He models himself on his team mate Melvin Maenhoff and emulates his aggressive fighting style. (Pro – MMA)
(4) Ronnie Mann (Trojan Free Fighters) V Marco Dritty 66 kg (Loes Gym – Holland) Mann is one of the stars of the Trojan camp notching up an impressive run of first round wins. Recently beating tough fighters Aarron Blackwell and Gary Howe. Dritty is a San Shou and Thai boxing champion and is set on defeating Mann who previously Ko’d one of his team mates on a Dutch MMA show. (Pro – MMA)
(5) Adam Mills (Trojan Free Fighters) V Roody Troost 84 kg (Mikes Gym Holland) Troost is earning a reputation for a fight anyone, anywhere attitude in both the ring and the cage. He takes on the independently rated UK number 2 Adam Mills who makes a return after injury. Both fighters have an aggressive style and are expected to go for a knockout in this K1 style match.
(6) John Wincott (Trojan Free Fighters) V Jamie De Vries 70kg (Mikes Gym Holland) ( 8 fights 6 wins 2 losses) Jamie de Vrie is the enfant terrible of Dutch Thai boxing, his fiery style is making him popular on the Dutch fight scene. Wincott a K1 max fighter has recently returned to the fight scene after a long lay off, but hopes to continue his earlier success. (K1 type rules)
(7) Dave Van Gasse V Chris “ Cyborg� Rice (84kg)
Both these fighters are earning a reputation as future stars of UK MMA. Rice is a come forward fighter who looks for the KO. Van Gasse is a cool and collected player who is an expert at submissions. (Pro – MMA)
(8) Phillip Else (London Shoot Fighters) V Danny Bergen (Mikes Gym Holland) 67 kg
This is a novice fight between two highly regarded camps. (Pro – MMA)
(9) Tom Mayes (Bristol Goshin Jutsu) V Matt Hingston ( Saints) 84 kg
Hingston a Royal Marine is making his first MMA appearance against Mayes who is from the highly regarded camp of Kevin O’ Hagan. (Pro – MMA)
(10) Nick Orchard (Bristol Goshin Jutsu) V Simon Van Wenroy (forumlid massi) 72kg

Both these fighters are at the start of their respective MMA careers, but both are well versed amateurs making there debuts on the pro scene. (Pro – MMA)
(11) Scott Mcginty ( Dragons MMA) V Gideon Ackermans. (Mikes Gym Holland) 85 kg
Mcginty is well known in kickboxing circles for his devastating punches and is fighting in front of a home crowd. Both fighters come off recent losses and want to redeem themselves. (Pro – MMA)
(12) Boom Boom Bobby Thomas (Trojan Free Fighters) V Andy Brown – (Poole Ju Jutsu.) 69kg
Thomas is set to be a future star of UK MMA, he has no reverse gears and simply wants to stand and trade. Brown is a veteran of the amateur scene and is confident he has too many skills for the young Trojan fighter. (Pro – MMA)
(13) Ian “Chainsaw� Rhoden (Trojan Free Fighters) V Alex Gould ( Woking Thaiboxing) Gould a training partner of Gary Turner is seen by many as a future K1 star. Rhoden is another future star of the Trojan team who is set to make waves on the UK fight scene. (K1 – type rules) Heavyweight match
