berichtje van me maten van Team Praxis (Georgia, USA..)
ben te lui om het te vertalen dus hier komtie:
check out a short hilite clip of our guy Scott Harper. He is our
205 lb. pro.
The clip is short spots of him training and some grappling tourney
footage and some of his fight footage.
The guy is a BEAST. Strongest motherfucker I have ever been on the mat
with...
He actually went to the TUF3 tryouts and was cut in the first round...
Here's what he said about it...
"I will tell you that there was not one single fighter in Boston that
could have lasted more than three minutes in the ring with me. After I
tooled the guy I went against with a beautiful arm triangle( I squeezed
him so hard that he had snot coming from his nose) I exited the mat to
other fighters chanting, "BEAST...BEAST...BEAST" I had several fighters
approach me and ask where I trained at. I had a few comments on how
strong I looked. Kenny Florian and his brother(can't remember name)
asked Forrest (Griffin) if he knew me. Forrest told them that he did
and then introduced me to them. Kenny's brother (runs the bjj gym that
we were at) aksed me where I trained... I proudly told him Team Praxis
in Georgia (I had my Team Praxis shirt on). He then shook my hand and
said, "damn you are good." Mat Santos then came up to me and said
something like, "dude, you should have this thing sewed up." After the
grappling session Dana (White) called the names of fighters that had
passed the first round. My name was not called. Santos punched me and
said ,"WTF...He didn't call your name?"... I then walked up to a
producer and asked what was going on and she told me that I was done. I
got dressed and was leaving when Forrest saw me and asked, "where are
you going?". I told him that I had not been selected. He was like, "no
way . . . there can't be more than 2 or 3 guys here that could hang
with you". I said, "well tell it to your boss, because I am leaving".
There were several guys that made it through all three rounds that
couldn't carry my spit bucket to the ring. That idiot Randy Rowe from
the UG made it all the way. His pro record is 1-4 and his only win is
because the guy punched him after the bell and got DQ'd. I was told by
a rep from the show that it was not about fighting skills, but which
fighters could create the most drama in the house. He said that they
don't even look at fighter's records or who they have fought. It's all
about personality and how they will clash with each other on t.v. The
only thing that I would suggest to the executives of that show is that
they need to drop the tag of these guys being the best unsigned
fighters in the world. That is a load of crap!"
LOL!!!!!
Scott has a record of 7-1 and his only loss has been avenged in a
rematch.
They also cut Andy Foster (a guy from our home state) that would have
been absolutely
AWESOME for the show. He has the wildest personality and a 15-0 record
to boot, all by submission.
If they bypassed Andy it tells you they weren't looking for talent...

2. deze man is geen KIMBO... hij laat zien wat ie kan en is niet verkeerd bezig..
3. heren promotors.. tijd om m in Nederland te laten vechten denken jullie niet? Simon of Apy.. make it happen

erg technisch en waanzinnige grond skills...
ik wil hem al een tijd naar Nederland laten komen voor workshops en hopenlijk een gevecht
het hele team van Praxis (onder leiding van Cma) doet het goed trouwens....
kijk ook eens naar een jongen als Cole Miller op die site...
gastje SLOOPT zijn tegenstanders aan de lopende band...
laatste tijd is er niemand in hun regio die nog tegen hem durft/ wil vechten....

Cool... this way I can start to see a little "structure"... I took French in HS and from that I understand that different languages are structured differently.... like noun/verb/noun kind of thing... If I see enough translation I can get a feel for what certain things mean and how they are structured.
Is Dutch comprised of feminine and masculine nouns, as in French and Spanish?

The fact that the ufc don't put on the best fighters/ but the most extravagant fighters is a damn shame...but it didn't surprise me.
letting tito and ken be the coaches is asking for drama... is't like they wanna make it a real life soap or something.
i really don't understand dana's choice in the sport's point of few.

in holland we don't make a difference between feminine and masculine nouns.
we neither have that big backyards to train that kind of heavy sprintwork, maybe between the cows ;) (see scott HL)
tuf concept have to sell, otherweise they can't make money. it's a pity, but not that weird. ofcourse it's about being the best fighter, but you have to be a great entertainer as well. but based on the hl and the story i just see, it looks prety hardcore&entertainend to me !

it's the same with our reality shows, they don't take the smartest or most creative people who most likeley would win, they take personalities that would clash, cause that's better for the ratings...
