LAS VEGAS -- Duane “Bang� Ludwig certainly lived up to his name, knocking out tough Canadian Jonathan Goulet with a single punch moments ago at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
The fight lasted exactly 11 seconds.
Goulet started the action by throwing a lazy left jab in the opening seconds. Ludwig, a world-class kickboxer, countered over the top with a beautiful right hand - his first punch of the fight. The shot dropped Goulet instantly, resulting in one of the fastest knockouts in Las Vegas history – mixed martial arts or boxing.
With the win, Ludwig raised his record to 11-4 overall, including a perfect 2-0 in the Octagon. The loss snapped a 10-fight winning streak for Goulet. His record now stands at 15-6, including 1-1 in the UFC.
