jongens ik zei toch al "foutje" zie me eerdere post.
coleman gaat wel meedoen. dat heeft hij op een gala van t weekend in ons aller Yankeetown bekend gemaakt.
echter, het zou goed mogelijk zijn.
wat ik een beetje begrijp van verschillende fora, is dat Wanderlei nu weer niet mee doet, Coleman wel, Fedor niet (maar dat wisten we al)
iig is dit wel weer ff een lekker OWGP speculatie topicje... waar of niet

kortom , ik zou t enorm zonde vinden als deze held ermee stopt. Ik ken genoeg Nederlandse vechters die niet eens in de buurt komen van de kwaliteiten van Crocop en daar hoor ik ook niemand hier over roepen dat ze beter kunnen kappen.
Jammer dat Crocop zichzelf onder druk zet door zulke uitspraken te doen. Ik snap niet dat hij wil opgeven als hij dit toernooi niet wint. Ik kijk namelijk echt uit naar rematches tussen hem en NOG en Fedor. Ik zeg niet dat ie ze wint maar hij maakt altijd kans.

uhm ik ken zelfs geen nederlandse vechter die in de buurt komt van de kwaliteiten van cro cop.
als ik naar zn laatste partijen kijk zie ik allistair op dit moment wel winnen. maar cro cop op zn top is door geen enkele nederlander te verslaan.

Nee, maar dat ie verloor lag aan de scheidsrechters, want iedereen weet toch dat als je cro-cop heet en de hele wedstrijd klappen vangt en achteruit loopt je hoort te winnen.

What's up guys? I have read a lot of different threads, post, etc. pertaining to the OWGP and I really wanted to stay away from getting involved because their are so many rumors, but I feel bad for the actual fans who have been waiting, confused, and searching for some answers.
First, Mark Coleman is in the Grand Prix and I am not allowed to say who he is fighting because their has been no "official" announcement about who he will fight in the first round, but I am allowed to say Wanderlei Silva is in the Grand Prix as well.. So use your imagination and think about how awsome it would be for them to fight in the first round because of the fued going on between the two camps (Hint Hint). Also, this would solve PRIDE's problem of not having a main event or co-main event.
Second, Mark Hunt is scheduled to fight Tsuyoshi Kohsaka, it says it on his official website and I have talked to many different people in Japan close to Kohsaka. Also, one person in particular person that I have talked to who is not in Japan is Big Mo Smith a very close and personal friend of Tsuyoshi's who is scheduled to be a coach in the upcoming IFL event, by the way, real quick off topic if you live in the East coast try to make it to the IFL cause it's going to be an awsome event.
Anyway, heres where it gets tricky. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira is in the Grand Prix but the reason his oppenent hasnt been announced is because no one wants the fight him. For example, Rulon Gardner turned down the fight when he heard it was against Nogueira who did agree to fight Gardner but jumped the gun and posted it on his website. Ok so your wondering what the tricky part is? Well if they can not find someone to fight Nogueira they will make a last minute change and put Nogueira against Kohsaka and bring in someone to fight Hunt. Believe it or not there are still many fighters who think that even thought Hunt is a monster on his feet, he can still be taken down and submitted.
So heres your conclusion, It would be a great idea HINT HINT for Wanderlei Silva to fight Mark Coleman to solve the feud and solve the problem of PRIDE needing a main event for the card. Hunt vs Kohsaka is a definite, but the twist is if no one will fight Nogueira then Kohsaka will. Oh and by the way, I don't know where some of you got the idea that Belfort is in the tournament because he isn't even signed with PRIDE.
Now for the people who will post things like "Fardo your an idiot wheres your source!" The source is me, I know a lot of fighters, I am a strength and conditioning trainer and I also spar with certain big name fighters. (Sorry I don't name drop). So if you think I am full of shit go ahead call me on it, but when this all gets announced I would like an apology in my pm box lol.. And those who I have cleared some OWGP bullshit up for, your welcome!

Minotauro x Zuluzinho
- About the choice of the opponent for Minotauro, Sakakibara said that he had many ideas, like Wandy or Sakuraba. Since it's an absolute (open weight) GP he said that he wanted to see a fight like the one of Mino vs Bob Sapp, giving the brazilian an opponent heavier than him. Sakakiraba believes that this is the weakset point of Nog, since he showed some difficulties when facing heavier opponents like Sapp and Ricco Rodriguez.
- About Zuluzinho the promoters call him the "Brazilian Bob Sapp" due to the similar size. The boxing technique of Zuluzinho was applauded, since he trains with the brazilian Olympic Boxing team, and he is a BJJ purple belt.
Emelianenko Fedor
- It's now official that Fedor is going to participate in the 2nd stage of the GP, in July 1st. Fedor is recovering well from the injury and he is eagger to participate in the GP, having time enough to be fully fit.
Thus, DSE decided to make a 1st stage with only 7 slots in order to leave a slot open for the champion.
Yvel x Zentsov
- This fight is not valid for the GP. It's only a fight.
Rules of the GP
- When there is a difference of 20 Kg between the fighters, the lighter can choose if knees, kicks and stomps in the ground are allowed. When the difference of weight is bigger than 20 kg, there is no option. Kness, kicks and stomps to the head in the ground are not allowed.
- If any fighter that wins the 1st fight is not able to participate in the 2nd stage, the replacement will be chosen by the promoters.
Absensies
- Wanderlei Silva was scheduled to participate in the GP, but the promoters understood his decision that, from July, he wants to fight in his division. In October or December Pride shall have its USA edition and Wandy might make a title fight in that event. His presence in the GP was put aside so that the champion can dedicate himself to his division.
- Mark Coleman was very eagger to participate in the GP, and DSE even considered to put him against Nog, but since they opted by Zuluzinho, Colleman was l;eft out of the GP. They will put him on a fight after July.
- About Sakuraba , he said that soon people will know why he is not in this GP.
Prize money
- The champion will receive US$180 K, 2nd place US$48K and the semi-finalists US$23K.

Zou heeeeeel vet zijn, maar ja, zoals Wandy al zei, vecht ie het liefst in z'n eigen klasse.
Toen Wandy tegen Hunt vocht heeft ie het wel gevoelt, als er zoveel kilo's tussen 2 vechters zitten.
Kan iemand me dit uitleggen?

Ik denk dat het laatste gewicht 30 kg moet zijn o.i.d. Nu is optie 1 slechts van toepassing in het niet bestaande geval dat iemand op de microgram 20 kg weegt.

Wie zegt trouwens dat CroCop top 5 is? Op de grond legt hij het af tegen de toppers met als specialisme grondvechten. Zelf is zijn specialisme staand vechten en krijgt hij ze uitgemeten van Hunt die toch eigenlijk betrekkelijk nieuw is in het MMA. Ik denk dat Hunt, met als specialisme staand werk, het tot nu toe beter doet dan CroCop. En een top 5 hoeft niet alleen uit Pride vechters te bestaan, toch?
Ik hoop dat Wandy - Coleman (edit: ooit) doorgaat, dat zou echt oorlog kunnen worden.

wanderlei is een black belt. dat zie je ook niet in zn partijen, dat wil niet zeggen dat ie t niet is
