Hoe heet zo'n zwarte pofjurk die bij het aiki-budo gedragen wordt?

En is er ook een Engelse naam voor?

Ik heb het nodig voor een vertaling die ik aan het maken ben.

The aikidōgi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aikidogi) used in aikido is similar to the keikogi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keikogi) used in most other modern budō (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budo) arts; simple trousers and a wraparound jacket, usually white. Both judo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judo)- and karate (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karate)-style gi are in use; the former having a thicker weave than the latter. (This additional durability is important in judo to avoid tearing when the jacket is seized as part of a throw, which can sometimes be a concern in aikido practice as well.) Specialized aikido uniforms are rare; they typically are modified to have heavier knee-patches, to withstand stress from techniques done in seiza (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seiza) posture.
Some systems add the hakama (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hakama) to the keikogi. The hakama is usually black or indigo, and is usually reserved for practitioners with dan (black belt) ranks; however, some schools allow all female students to wear them, regardless of rank.
Similarly, some schools use a variety of belt colors, while others use only white for kyū grades and black for dan grades, with perhaps the addition of a brown belt for the upper few kyū ranks.

Voor zover ik weet is de hakama bij alle aikido vormen in gebruik ; d'r is enkel een verschil vanaf welke graad de hakama word gedragen.

bij onze club geloof ik vanaf blauw... maar weet niet zeker aangezien ik zelf geen aikido maar meerdere gasten van de jiujitsu doen ook aikido.. geloof dat sinds ze blauw hebben ze een hakama dragen.. anders is het groen ofzo

Bij budo academy physical mag je ook een hakema dragen vanaf je groene band.
