Akiyama gediskwalificeerd!!!!

Volgens deze link http://gbring.com/sokuho/news/2007_01/0111_k-1.htm (in het Japans, ik heb het zelf van het sherdog forum) is Akiyama gediskwalificeerd en wordt de Saku-Akiyama match een no-contest. Akiyama heeft toegegeven een soort van 'huidcreme' gebruikt te hebben, maar beweert dat hij die elke dag gebruikte omdat hij een droge huid heeft. Hij heeft die opgedaan voor de match en dit werd zogezegd bevestigd door pre-fight camerabeelden. Akiyama wist zogezegd niet dat dit een probleem zou zijn voor de match.
YES, ik wist dat Saku geen leugenaar was en zeker geen dingen zou verzinnen. WAR SAKU!!!

is wat ik eerst wou zegn. maar ik had idd gelezen dat ie geen officieele handschoenen heeft. Nu hoeft dat niets te zeggen en vin k t nog steeds absurd om zon boxbeugle erin te verzinnen.. maar die handschoenen steken normaal toch niet zo ver uit?
dan nog als je zover wilt gaan zorgen ze wel voor iets makkelijkers dan dat lijkt me haha. stalen plaatjes ofso ipv een beugel erin proppen haha.

het is zo ie zo raar dat ie ze eigen handschoenen mocht dragen!!! Om deze simpele reden!!

Toen ik in Japan was heb ik nog nooit zo een strenge controle meegemaakt op de tape die je gebruikt, binden van je handen etc. ... dus dat je met je eigen handschoenen kan opkomen vind ik zo ie zo al een raar verhaal!! Want die jappen zitten er als bijen op de honing of je alles wel juist doet... vin het nog steeds een raar verhaal

K-1 parent company Fight Entertainment Group (FEG) held a press conference on Jan. 11 in Tokyo, Japan concerning the controversy surrounding the Kazushi Sakuraba vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama match.

During the fight Sakuraba complained to the referee about Akiyama’s legs being slippery after he couldn’t get a grip on Akiyama when going for a takedown. Sakuraba’s complaints went unheard during the fight and he was eventually TKO’d. Many peopled complained that Akiyama must have used some sort of lubricant to become slippery to his opponent. Also, conspiracies were floating around about one of Akiyama’s gloves as it seemed to appear different than the official gloves worn by other fighters.

SportsNavi reported that the match was declared a "No Contest" and that Akiyama was disqualified and all of his fight purse was taken away after it was determined that Akiyama had applied a cream to his body before the match. He claimed that the cream was for a skin condition, xerosis, and that he didn’t do it to interfere with the fight.

Akiyama appeared in front of the press at the conference and apologized to Sakuraba and said, “I will accept my punishments.”

Kazushi Sakuraba was not in attendance, but FEG president Sadaharu Tanigawa read a statement from Sakuraba in which Sakuraba said he was not happy with the outcome of the situation and that he “can’t accept” FEG’s conclusion. Sakuraba continued, “I request Akiyama to apologize to the people concerned, the fans.”

It was also mentioned that there was no illegalities involved with the gloves or bandages, but two judges were fined. The judge who was responsible for checking Akiyama's body and gloves was docked half his pay and will be suspended for a period. And the judge who disregarded Sakuraba's continued pleas during the bout that Akiyama was slippery was docked half his pay.

goede zaak... zoals ik al eerder zei.. kan me niet voorstellen dat sakuraba dit soort dingen zonder reden zou zeggen... blij dat ik gelijk had :D

Beetje gek dat wanneer Akiyama gediskwalificeerd wordt, de partij in een no-contest eindigt. Je zou toch denken dat wanneer hij gediskwalificeerd is, de winst naar Sakuraba gaat...

Gediskwalificeerd en dan de wedstrijd niet verliezen .. vreemd maar nog vreemder is dat de scheids op aandringen van Sakuraba nog steeds niet de benen controleerde.
