At the coming event of GLADIATORS OF THE NORTH, the well-known Bob Schreiber will introduce a (re)NEW(ed) concept: MMA TAG TEAM!
In Pro Wrestling it’s a common fact and practiced for years, but Schreiber is trying to mould this into existing MMA rules.
Working with four fighters at and in the ring is a whole different thing and all the officials have to be extremely alert because this is all about timing.
In this new concept, the fighters can’t ‘tag’, only the coaches are allowed to do this. The fighter has to be ready because he only has 10 seconds to replace his colleague.
For sure it will going to look very dynamic and interesting to the audience and it’s obvious that the fighters need to have a great fitness. Just imagine when one fighter is out because of submission or injury or (T)KO, the other fighter has to fight two fighters who are allowed to use their 3 tags per round.
There will always be a winning team because when it’s a draw after the official time, there will be an extra round but this time without any tag’s. In any case that it remains a draw, the scorekeepers will decide.
