On july 21st 2007, Be Innovative Foundation, had a successful kickoff with the start of their Community Development Project" ENRICHING SURINAME". Enriching Suriname is linked to an International Martial Arts Event called "SPORT UNITES". Several fighting disciplines were shown by (professional )athletes, such as MMA, Muay Thai, Kyokushinkai, Taekwondo and Wrestling. The participating countries were: Suriname, Brasil, Trinidad & Tobago, Morrocco, The Netherlands and Aruba. With professional fights, good entertainment and show the crowd was very pleased with the performance of star-athletes such as Rodney Faverus, Robert van Nimwegen, Adarsh Kewal, Alex dos Santos, Rene Bloothoofd, Randay Badal and Sergio Wielzen. Their performance was the spot on.

With this yearly fundraising event, Be Innovative Foundation, raised an amount of USD30.000 which will be the start of the Community Development Program of "ENRICHING SURINAME". The main objectives of this project are to support and develop martial arts market in Suriname. Moreover, make a contribution to underprivileged communities by creating awareness for the problems and therefore providing the opportunity to have a simultaneous effect which will stimulate the economic growth of this region. The stimulating and improving effect will influence the three spheres of society, which are the Market, State and Civil society. Consequently, creating a balance between these spheres which stimulate further development of the concerning community. The mission statement therefore can be formulated as the creation of awareness of this potential market to stimulate it growth and contribution to the economy by guiding their society to stimulate their economic growth.
