UFC 80 will take place on European soil, Newcastle – England, this Saturday and will feature lots of European contenders. The first ones to step into the octagon will be Dutch Antoni Hardonk (4-5-0), coming from two losses in the UFC, and Colin "Big C" Robinson (9-3-0), from Northern Ireland, for a ferocious battle in order to survive under the sign of the American giant. Swedish star Per Eklund (12-2-1) will make his UFC debut, after four consecutive victories, against Sam "Hands of Stone" Stout (12-3-1), a dangerous TKO and UFC veteran. Next on the line will be Italian “ Legionarius” Alessio Sakara (11-6-0), a UFC experienced fighter coming from a loss to American Houston Alexander (8-2-0), against James Lee (13-2-0), a fresh UFC signing, after his dominant KOTC campaign. The undercard will closed with a brutal English brawl between Paul Kelly (6-0-0) and Paul Taylor (8-2-1) and a brilliant performance must be decisive for the career of anyone of them. In the main card there's only a European athlete, French “Joker” Jess Liaudin (12-8-0), coming from five straight wins, will challenge American rising star Marcus Davis (13-3-0). If in one hand it seems like a very hard fight for the French warrior it can turn into a complete new dimension on his career if he can beat the American. The event will be headlined by two announced wars; Brazilian tough competitors Gabriel Gonzaga (8-2-0) and Fabricio Werdum (9-3-1) will fight to keep their high rankings and Joe Stevenson (28-7-0) will have one of the fights of his life against “The Prodigy” BJ Penn (11-4-1).
