Afgelopen zaterdag organiseerde sportschool Muaythai Genk zijn 2e vechtsportgala van het seizoen 2007-2008.
Na een succesvol "groot" gala was het nu de beurt voor een kleinere editie waarin vooral nieuwelingen, C klasser en enkele B vechters hun talenten konden tentoonspreiden.

Ook deze maal niet in het sportcentrum van Genk, maar in een gezellige nieuwe locatie, de sporthal van het College van Genk.
Het gala was internationaal getint, met vechter uit België, Nederland en Duitsland.

Het publiek was talrijk opgekomen. Er waren clubs die wel meer als 80! supporters hadden meegenomen. Verklaarde dan ook de gezellige sfeer die in de zaal hing!

Hoofdpartijen van de avond waren die van Hicham Moujtahid tegen Ridvan Isliyen, Mieke papy tegen Jaqueline Guaman, Maxim Mees tegen Ilman Arskanov en Nourredine el Garani tegen Salih Tok.

Stond niet op het programma als hoofdpartij, maar voor mij zeker ook een van de mooiste partij van de avond was die van Hervé Vandewinkel tegen Mario Simons! Prachtige partij die vanaf het 1e moment ongewoon spannend was! Heel gelijkopgaande 1e en 2e ronde, maar in de 3e ronde weet Hervé acht tellen te versieren en het tempo nog op te drijven en zo deze prachtpartij binnen te rijven.

Hicham Moujtahid pakt dus de Vlaamse titel, bleef het hele seizoen ongeslagen en zal vanaf zijn volgende partij de B klasse -61kg ingaan!

MArio vocht echt super. 1ste c klasse partij tegen iemand die naar de B na deze match zou gaan. BEide vochten erg goed, en als die 8 tellen er niet waren geweest dan had MArio de partij gewonnen. Ik was erg trots op Mario ;)

Zaten voor de rest een paar erg leuke wedstrijden tussen. DIe nieuwe belgische kampioen was me toch ook een talent. Daar gaan we nog zeker iets van horen.

En Sakir Uzun verbaasde me ook. Ik dacht eerst wel dat die van biko's gym niets van hem zou heel laten, maar het tegendeel was waar. Sakir had hem bijna 2 maal met low kicks en stoten gepakt, maar door de kapotte ring kreeg die van biko de kans om op adem te komen.

al met al leuk galaatje met een een 5tal leuke partijen.

oh ja. voor ik het vergeet. viel me op dat er veel meer getrapt werd bij sommige partijen, maar die laatste partij.... zeg niet dat ik er in uitblink, maar euh de verliezer, die jongen , die moet toch nog een paar bokslessen nemen.

En Sakir Uzun verbaasde me ook. Ik dacht eerst wel dat die van biko's gym niets van hem zou heel laten, maar het tegendeel was waar.Dacht het eig ook wel dat die van Biko's gym heel snel zou gewonnen hebben.
