– Affliction MMA investor, Donald trump, today confirmed the obvious during a press conference at Trump Tower in New York, N.Y. — he’s going to pursue former UFC champion Tito Ortiz to come on board with his new promotion. Ortiz was a contestant on the most recent season of Trump’s “The Apprentice” and the two appear to have forged a professional friendship as a result of the experience. Even though Ortiz has expressed a desire to create his own mixed martial arts promotion, if he does sign with Affliction MMA there are some nice fights that could be there such as Renato “Babalu” Sobral, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Vitor Belfort (if he competes at 205) — even Matt Lindland.
