M-1 Challenge: Fotoverslag Team Holland in Japan

[M-1 Challenge]

Morgen is het zover. Dan zal het nederlandse team van de M-1 Challenge aantreden in Tokio tegen gastland Japan. Het zal dan al weer de 5e ronde in de M-1 Challenge zijn en de derde maal dat het Nederlandse team in actie komt.

Het Nederlandse team bestaande uit Bogdan Christea, Romano de los Reyes, Jason Jones, Kamil Uygun en Jessie Gibbs staat dan voor een zware opgave. Niet alleen zullen zij in Japan moeten aantreden tegen het gastland, een land waar MMA een populariteit heeft vergelijkbaar met voetbal bij ons, er staat ook veel op het spel. Met 1 winst (5-0 op Team Duitsland) en 1 krappe verliespartij (3-2 tegen Team Spanje) kan winst het Nederlandse team tot een groot favoriet voor de finale maken op 31 december in Tokio.

Voor Romano, Jason, Jessie, Bogdan en kamil staat er dus veel op het spel morgen. Net als uit Gran Canaria houdt de M-1 Challenge het thuisfront op de hoogte met foto's van de trip van onze jongens onderweg.

Vandaag is de weging geweest. Alle vechters waren op gewicht en kunnen zich nu op het laatste deel naar de wedstrijd toe gaan voorbereiden.

Lachen hoor. Net een week terug en krijg je deze foto's voor je snufferd :D
Ik zie gewoon de Seven Eleven op de foto. Precies in de straat (Nishi Shinjuku) waar ik zat. Echt 2 minuten verder zat mijn hotel. Kwam er dagelijks...
En natuurlijk Gold's Gym waar ik met Kraus, Lima en Krauweel naartoe ben gegaan. Super!

[M-1 Challenge]

Afgelopen maandag vloog het Nederlandse team naar Tokyo voor de confrontatie met gastland Japan in het kader van de M-1 Challenge. Na enkele dagen te hebben kunnen acclamatiseren naderd de dag der waarheid nu erg rap. Vandaag was de weging die onder grote belangstelling van de toegestroomde pers werd voltrokken. Alle vechters waren goed op gewicht en zijn klaar om morgen te knallen in de ring.

Patrick de Witte, die schijnbaar zijn kogelvis had overleeft, liet net nog per sms weten dat het Nederlandse team blaakt van het zelfvertrouwen en klaar is om morgen alle Japanse aspiratie's om zeep te helpen. Wel is het erg warm en loopt de temperatuur af en toe op tot boven de 35 graden.
