Normaal gesproken doe ik niet mee aan deze sherdog logica, maar Sylvia heeft 2x gewonnen van arlovski, en Arlovski heeft gewonnen van Werdum en Werdum heeft(gemakkelijk) gewonnen van Aleks.
Ik wil alleen maar zeggen dat het niet waarschijnlijk is dat Aleks Sylvia zomaar doormidden breekt. In MMA kan alles gebeuren, en is de vorm van de dag belangrijk.

Dat hoeft niet. Hepatitus B geneest vanzelf binnen een half jaartje bij de meeste mensen. Mocht hij echter chronische Hepatitus B hebben, dan zal hij altijd besmetbaar blijven voor anderen ( bloedcontact ).

Ho! voor zover ik weet geneest alleen Hep. A, Hep. B is volgens mij chronisch. Hoewel het wel te bestrijden is, blijft het wel sluimeren geloof ik.
Hep. A is alleen besmettelijk zolang het virus actief is, geloof ik. Ben niet 100% zeker, maar volgens mij was het zoiets.
Waar komt dat Hepatitus B verhaal vandaan? Het staat hier in ene keer zo plots klaps in het topic zonder bron, verdere doorverwijzing of enige aanleiding.

er zijn nog geen officiele berichten hierover, maar wordt overgesproken dat hij daar zal gaan vechten.. we gaan t beleven..;)

Babalu to fight … Southworth?
Renato “Babalu” Sobral may be a very busy man over the next couple of months. Sources have confirmed that Babalu is set to face Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Bobby Southworth on Saturday, September 20.
The September 20th date is only three weeks prior to the second Affliction show where Babalu is supposed to be facing Tito Ortiz.
It’ll be very interesting if both organizations are willing to let Sobral fight on two different shows so close together. While Sobral would be a heavy favorite against Southworth, he could be forced to go five rounds with the Strikeforce light heavyweight champion.
Plus, based on all accounts, the Affliction show would pay Sobral substantitally more. Sobral also has publicly stated the the match-up with Ortiz is his “dream fight”. However, for Strikeforce to be willing to announce the fight, I would think they would feel very positive that it will take place. The other possibility is that negotiations between Ortiz and Affliction have fallen off. This could be a very interesting situation over the next few months.

Jay Hieron Officially Signs with Affliction

According to Xtreme Couture, Hieron will make his debut at “Affliction: Day of Reckoning” on October 11th in Las Vegas. Even though the IFL has gone under and been sold to Zuffa/UFC, he is still the reigning IFL welterweight champion and brings up the question of, why didn’t the UFC sign him?
Hieron has had a lot to deal with while becoming an MMA fighter, you can read all about it in his blog that appears on the Xtreme Couture website. Now he’s hoping to continue his winning ways for Affliction.
Affliction VP Tom Atencio has said in the past that Affliction would pump out three events and see how it goes from there. With Hieron signing a three-fight deal, it would seem as though Affliction Entertainment has more events planned after the success of “Affliction: Banned“.
Affliction is making a bold move by heading into the UFC’s home turf of Las Vegas, Nevada for its second event, which will take place at the Thomas & Mack Center.
“Day of Reckoning” will be headlined by a WAMMA #1 Contender’s match between Andrei Arlovski and Josh Barnett with the winner getting a crack at Fedor Emelianenko.

California State Athletic Commission Official Bill Douglas was a guest recently on the Figure Four Daily radio show that airs on The Wrestling Observer (http://www.wrestlingobserver.com/) and Mr. Douglas shed a little light on the controversay surrounding the reasoning behind Aleksander Emelianenko being removed from his scheduled bout with Paul Buentello at Affliction's debut show on July 19th.
"The one thing that I can absolutely say is that he (Aleksander) was not and will not be cleared to fight in California." the official told FFD Radio "He is officially licensed denied and that will stand for all of the United States of America".
Emelianenko recently denied claims that he was Hepatitis B positive, a rumor that made it's way around the day of the weigh in's, and one that was told to MMANews.com by a fighter that wished to remain annonymous. The Russian fighter claimed that the reason he was removed was because he was late getting his medicals done.
Due to the health and privacy rules in the State of California, Douglas could not publicly state whether or not is was Hepatitis B that was the deciding factor in the issue, but obviously it is something quite bad if he will be unable to fight in the USA again.
Aleks last fought in St. Petersburg, Russia, winning that bout by TKO in the first round and previous to that fought in Calgary, AB Canada deafeating Dan Bobish in the first. I can not speak for Russian policies but being Canadian I know there is strict blood testing for every fighter before a fight. Ik heb het vermoeden dat Barnett niks in te brengen heeft tegen arlovski staand, maar dat Arlovski toch echt de mindere is op de grond. Ik ga er geen geld op inzetten. :)
