With his amazing voice Bruce Buffer has talked himself into a very well known person in The Martial arts industry. Many martial arts fans call him the best ring announcer in the world. The UFC agreed on that one and made him their resident ringannouncer. Besides being a top ringannouncer, Bruce Buffer is a very succesfull businessman. KO Events has the honor to present Bruce Buffer as their ringannouncer for their huge martial arts events on October 5th. Enough reasons for fighttalk for an interview with this colourfull person What do you have with martial arts?
I have been the announcer for the Ultimate fighting Championships (UFC) internationally for about 13 years now plus many other martial arts events such as K-1 and others.

Did you practice any your self?
I have crossed trained in various forms of martial arts since I was a teenager and achieved black belts in two styles. My favorite martial art was kick-boxing and I trained and fought quite a bit as an amateur until I was 32.
How did you become a ring announcer?
I managed a fighter into UFC 8 and talked my way into announcing for them and became their permanent announcer since UFC 13.

Is there any competition between you and your brother?
No as I manage his career and my own plus we are partners in al our ventures surrounding his famous Lets Get Ready to Rumble phrase such as video games and toys. We have a great and supportive relationship.
What do you do besides announcing events in the UFC?
I run a number of business ventures through my company Buffer Enterprises, Inc. and also play poker as a semi-professional.
Who are your favorite fighters and why?
Randy Couture is my favorite as he epitomizes the perfect role model for an MMA fighter both in and out of the Octagon. I have many favorites such as Anderson Silva, BJ Penn and George St. Pierre to name a few. Amsterdam is a home of many great kick-boxing fighters and I want to experience the culture and event first hand.

Why do we hardly see you on other shows and why did you decide to come to this show in Holland?
I want to enjoy Amsterdam and this fantastic event the promoters were so gracious to invite me to and who are also understanding about me not being able to announce their MMA fights due to my exclusivity with the UFC, but I plan on announcing some of the kick-boxing fights and meeting their fans.
What do you think of the programme of KO events? Which fights are you looking forward two?
I always look forward to all the fights on a card as you never know what the best fight of the night will be.
What do you think of Holland?
Great country with lots of culture but it has been years since I have been there and I plan to enjoy this trip as if it was my first. Plus I know the women are beautiful and friendly, which is always a plus.

What can we expect on Oktober 5th?
A great event and I will add any enhancement I can to it. I have never been to a fighting event in Holland and have heard only great things about all the exciting action that takes place.
