The UFC announced four bouts Friday to complete the lineup for UFC 90, set to take place Oct. 25 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill.
In a previously reported heavyweight contest, Fabricio Werdum will take on UFC newcomer Junior dos Santos. The matchup will be featured on a main card that includes Anderson Silva’s middleweight title defense against Patrick Cote and a key welterweight bout between Thiago Alves and Diego Sanchez.
Lightweight fights for the undercard were also made official Friday. Former teammates Marcus Aurelio and Hermes Franca will meet, as well as Gray Maynard and Rich Clementi. Spencer Fisher will fight Shannon Gugerty, who replaces Melvin Guillard.
For UFC 91, scheduled for Nov. 15 in Las Vegas and headlined by Randy Couture vs. Brock Lesnar, Demian Maia recently told Tatame.com that he will be fighting Nathan Quarry in a middleweight match. Amir Sadollah, the winner of “The Ultimate Fighter 7,” will fight Nick Catone.
