K-1 Dynamite card on New Years Eve (31-12-08)
K-1's Soldier of Fortune, Mark Hunt has been confirmed to fight French star Jerome Le Banner on K-1 Dynamite super card, New Years Eve-December 31st in Japan. Le Banner who has felt the wrath of Hunt in stand up rules, via a vicious punched out KO will compete under Mixed Martial Arts rules which will probably draw a record box office and gate receipts.

Hunt who last fought Golden Glory and Dutch fighter Alistair Overeem, losing by way of key lock submission makes his return against La Banner who suffered a hyper extended elbow injury on the recently concluded K-1 World GP finals.
South Auckland's most famous and one of the toughest chins in all combat and contact sport, Hunt's early signing for the fight is a clear indication that he has been in preparation mode for a top bill on the day two thousand and eight draws to an end.
Training out of his base camp in Liverpool- Sydney has focussed heavily on his ground game under a specialist Jui Jitsu coach. Known for his famed strikes and hulking left-right hooks, a fight with the Frenchman is the perfect setting for a furious KO and pulling back some of FEG (Fight Entertainment Group's) lagging TV ratings.
One thing is for sure, one these two super stars will start the new year with a severe head ache. Judging by history it will most likely be Le Banner.
