Zaterdagavond 31 januari was het team van Mixfight.nl op bezoek in Stadskanaal (in het hoge noorden) bij het mooie complex van Ruud Bruinsma ,die in samenwerking met Joya Sports een leuk regionaal gala had weten neer te zetten.

De sfeer zat er meteen goed in en meestal zijn dit soort gala'tjes altijd enorm gezellig om heen te gaan!! Goede catering tegen een betaalbare prijs is natuurlijk ook altijd mooi meegenomen. Het was goed druk en vooral de vechters Gerrit Beumer van Scorpio Gym en Patrick Veenstra (Elsomo) hadden veel fans meegenomen. Vooral bij Beumer leek het wel of de hele harde kern van Heracles Almelo meegereisd was om deze jongen te supporten.

Diverse Mixfight.nl leden live in actie gezien en vooral Jos Ploeger mag toch wel gezien worden als een voorbeeld voor vele nieuwelingen!! Deze vechter had er echt zin in wat meteen duidelijk werd bij zijn opkomst en zelden zulke orginele sponsoring gezien dan bij Ultimate Gym!!

De hoofdpartij van de avond tussen Hovik Tikranjan (Team Azer) en Khalid Chahbani (Real Fighters/Chabrani Gym) was allerminst verrassend te noemen. Invaller Tikranjan bood uitstekend weerstand tegen de meer ervaren Chahbrani en verdiende hiermee een onbeslist. Chahbrani kwam geen moment echt in de partij die in het verleden thrillers vocht tegen Donald Berner & Matthias Ipssa.
