Big Rumor (UFC 100) Circulating (http://thegarv.com/2009/02/24/big-rumor-ufc-100-circulating/)
Het is alleszins zeker maar het gerucht doet nu hardnekkig de ronde.
IK zou het wel heavy shit vinden...

Big Rumor (UFC 100) Circulating… (http://thegarv.com/2009/02/24/big-rumor-ufc-100-circulating/)
February 24th, 2009 by Dino Kostakio | Filed under Rumors and Gossip (http://thegarv.com/category/rumored-fights/), UFC (http://thegarv.com/category/ufc/). Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports was recently on Steve Cofield’s post-95 radio show and he was talking about Randy Couture’s next fight. Both he and Cofield mentioned that Randy will not be fighting in UFC 99, but he would probably be ready for UFC 100.
Iole went on to talk about Georges St. Pierre-Thiago Alves not being the main event for UFC 100 most likely, but the UFC wants it to be as great as the fans do. He said he knows Dana wants UFC 100 to be a “monster”.
Both Iole and Cofield said the Coutures kind of have an idea who he’s fighting next and that its a big one. Cofield, who is a friend of Couture’s, said, “Randy’s not that passionate about fighting (Mirko) Cro Cop.”
Iole then dropped the bomb. “Is it possible that Randy could be fighting ‘you know who’ at UFC 100?”
He then clarified that “you know who” is undisputed number one ranked Fedor Emelianenko.
However, in response Cofield said that he spoke to a UFC official who told him that it is probably too soon for the UFC to sign Emelianenko, but Iole insisted that if the UFC were ever to do a one-fight deal, it would be for UFC 100: Couture vs. Emelianenko.
He further explains that the justification for the unusual one-fight deal would be that if Couture wins, then UFC President Dana White has been right about Emelianenko not being the best heavyweight all along and if he loses, then it’s not that big of a deal since… well, it’s Fedor Emelianenko!
Iole noted that he is just speculating and that no one has told him any of this, but fans are remaining hopeful since he is more tapped into the UFC than any other MMA journalist. And I agree that since he is such a credible source, then it is at least being discussed!
