The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 7 season winner, Amir Sadollah, will once again attempt to get back inside the Octagon for the first time since winning the Spike TV mixed martial arts reality series back in June 2008.

FiveOuncesOfPain.com (http://fiveouncesofpain.com/2009/04/06/amir-sadollah-vs-johny-hendricks-pegged-for-ufc-101/)reports that the former middleweight is in talks to make his welterweight debut opposite undefeated collegiate wrestling sensation Johny Hendricks at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pa., on August 8.

Sadollah has been plagued by injuries ever since a submission win over CB Dolloway at TUF 7 Finale. He was expected to follow up that performance against Nick Catone at UFC 91: “Lesnar vs. Couture” on November 15. However, just four days before fight night he had to withdraw because of a leg infection.

It was so severe that was hospitalized for the condition.
The pair was then rebooked to collide at UFC Fight Night 17 at the USF Sun Dome in Tampa, Fla., on February 7. But it was apparently not meant to be — this time around Sadollah reportedly injured his clavicle.

Sadollah now has four months to rehabilitate any injuries and prepare for his 170-pound debut. Hopefully, he can stay healthy this time around because he is going to need to be 100 percent if he plans to topple a stud like Hendricks.

The Team Takedown product is a two-time national champion collegiate wrestler at Oklahoma State University (OSU), earning All-American accolades all four years as a Cowboy. He just missed three-peating as the Division I NCAA 165-pound national champion in 2007 when he lost in the final to Mark Perry — a standout from the University of Iowa.

As a professional mixed martial artist, Hendricks has been impressive as well. In his debut in September 2007, he scored a third round technical knockout over Victor Ratcliff at Masters of the Cage 16. Hendricks took one more fight in 2007, a second round technical knockout win Spencer Cowley.
Hendricks is a former World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) employee with two wins under his belt — a technical knockout over Justin Haskins and a unanimous decision win over Alex “The Russian Crusher” Serdyukov. When the promotion dissolved its welterweight division in late 2008, Hendricks was an obvious choice to make the transition over to the UFC.

UFC 101 will likely feature a main event between lightweight champion BJ Penn against number one contender Kenny Florian, as well as a 205-pound showdown between former light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin and the previously unbeaten Thiago Silva in the co-featured fight of the night.

Ik hoop dat Amir weer eens blessurevrij is en weer een mooie winstpartij naar zich toe kan trekken...
