[Fight #10]
Yoshihiro Sato vs. Joerie Mes

Sato starts this fight as he does every fight, with endless inside and outside low kicks and some annoying jabs in the face. Mes seems to be having a little difficulty finding his distancing, and Sato is taking advantage of that by using his teeps and throwing the odd knee
Mes finally starts to make some use out of that leather on his hands, but he is finding it almost impossible to find a gap in Sato’s guard, while repeatedly being counted when he tries.
Round 2
Mes comes out more aggressive this round and closes the distance and punches through Sato’s guard.
They both land some heavy punches before Sato reverts to his low kicks and teeps while adding in the occasional long right straight.
Those low kicks seem to be adding up a little, but Mes isn’t limping yet. And, he is managing to put together a few combinations ending with a nice body shot as the round comes to a close.
Round 3
Mes is trying to stay within punching range so that Sato’s low kicks aren’t so effective, but Sato is a master at distancing and he is repeatedly chopping away at Mes’ thighs as Mes tries to punch holes his the lanky Japanese fighters guard.
Mes lands a straight and Sato answers it with three quick low kicks on the same spot.
The bell rings with them clenched in the corner.
Extra Round
There are no hidden strategies here. They walk to the middle of the ring and Sato starts trying to kick Mes’ legs out from under him, while Mes looks to take off Sato’s head.
Neither succeeds, but Mes is certainly walking far more gingerly than he was a few minutes ago.
Both now utilize the knees and Sato starts to let his hands go too.
As the final ten seconds starts, they both throw down. Sato gets caught once or twice in the flurry, but not enough to cause any damage, and he wins a split decision.

Joeri was erg sterk.
