MMABay has been informed by a source close to the situation that Croatian knockout, Mirko Cro Cop has brought down the curtain on his mixed martial arts career following his most recent loss last weekend. According to a number of Croatian MMA news sites, Cro Cop's manager, Zvonimir Lucic spoke to his training partners, Igor Pokrajcom and Sasa Mučnjak, this week to inform them that the camp will be disbanded based on the heavyweight's decision not to fight again. They were given their final payoff.
Cro Cop's decision to quit mixed martial arts will not come as a surprise to many after reading his post fight comments this week. The once feared striker admitted he had lost his drive and desire and had been finding it difficult to pull the trigger.
We wish him all the best and thank him for the memories.

blijf de mooie herinneringen aan Pride houden, maar de laatste jaren was hij geen schim meer daarvan

Said Cro Cop; "I have no motivation left and it's time to leave. Thank you all for supporting me."
One of the most severly struck by the news, is Zvonimir Lucic, Mirko's manager and most reliable cornerstone throughout Cro Cop's numerous battles. Following his last conversation with Mirko, Mr. Lucic was instructed to release all Team Cro Cop members from their respective duties, officially ending an era spanning 15 years of blood, sweat and tears at Cro Cop's headquarters.
Today is a sad day for all Cro Cop fans worldwide as one of the most beloved and inspiring icons in combat sports has decided to walk away from competition and hang up his gloves for good.

x2 en zijn prtij tegen Nog waarhij Nog de hele wedstrijd mishandelde om aan het einde te moeten tappen!

Altijd jammer om een icoon te zien gaan, nog erger is het om een icoon (zoals eerder gezegd) te zien wegkwijnen.

hij had van mij nog wel een laatste wedstrijd tegen bv randy ofzomogen vechten dit is niet een afscheid wat je zo een groot vechter gunt,maarja de tijd zal het leren.
