[Mixfight reporters]

Klazienaveen, Drenthe. De voormalige dojo van Team Hardcore is omgedoopt tot een nieuwe sportschool, voorzien van alle elementen die een sportschool gericht op vechtsport hoort te hebben. Fitnessapparatuur, een dojo met wedstrijdring en een separate zaal voor andere (vecht)sporten. Peter Verschuren (eigenaar Mejiro Gym Drenthe) is tevreden met de nieuwe opzet.

Om de start van de nieuwe sportschool feestelijk in te luiden is gekozen voor een vechtsportgala. Vele kickbokspartijen staan op het programma en ook een MMA-partij. Uiteraard zijn de vechters van Mejiro Gym Drenthe goed vertegenwoordigd, maar ook elders uit den lande zijn vechters overgekomen om te strijden. Zo is Mejiro Gym Amsterdam van de partij en Team Gunyar en Angelo gym zijn van de partij.

De zaal is goed ingericht en de partijen lopen vlot door. De vechters van Mejiro Gym Drenthe presteren goed tijdens de thuiswedstrijd en Peter Verschuren geeft aan voornemens te zijn 4 keer per jaar een dergelijk gala te organiseren. Een goed initiatief, zodat ook de vechters uit het noorden van het land verzekerd zijn van partijen in de buurt.
